Re: Dave's Castle
maybe make the roof a little taller, it looks so flat.
It looks good aside that.

You have dark bley and dark grey pices as mottling, don´t you? Certainly a good idea but I think the "mottling pieces" are too big.
Other than that it looks promising, keep us updated.

I like the mottling, but that green roof could use some work. The brick-built-gate looks good!
Nice Work!

I am sorry I don't really understand your post..... Clones? and what is exactly the matter with it that makes it so 'unauthtntic'? I know it might not be so totaly realistic to that of a real historical castle and that it might not exactly the most effecint way to protect ones self but hey, its lego- take a chill pill..spotfrog wrote:Clones? That's positively disgusting!
Seriously, thats a pretty nice gatehouse, but it lacks detail and would be a lot better if it was authentic.

I have no idea what he means either ..
About your castle, i shows some nice thinks like the mottled technique and its impressively massive.
Reminds me of a babylonian wall/gate somehow.
The tower though could use some more layers between the pillar and the roof they are supporting, maybe something with arches or reversed slopes ?
My 2cts, keep on building !

well now that I have thought about it for a little while and and got m,y mind thinking in lego terms what he means is that 'clones' is clones of lego in which he is over reacting to my use of megabloks. which to a certin extent I understand his harsh words of displeasure. but I have stated before that the new bloks are of the same quality of official LEGO bricks and the only major differences are in the color- which considering the recent color change that lego has done it doesn't matter because they are now almost the same color. however he is free to have his own opinion. I use them because they are a lot cheaper and are readlly accessable in stores where I live. But I would hope that some ppl. would have more dignity then to bash someones creation because of so silly matter such as that.
