Castle Bucket
I think lego should do castle tub with all kinds of castle walls arches and lets not forget the grey and dark grey bricks. This idea would be probably be hit for the AFOL's out there and people that are doing mocs and have run out of grey and dark grey pieces. This tub also should have the walls. doors, structural pieces, arches, stain glass windows that lego has made in there golden days and roof pieces. For like 50$. It would be good idea but not for kids because there would be no minifigs.
This would be a great idea. However, the sad truth is that LEGO is focused on kids, who really wouldn't be stimulated by a box of grey things with no figs. Thankfully, someone made Bricklink for us, so we can get our things there.

I seem to recall a very, very cruel April fool's joke from a few years back that centered around this.
It would be appreciated greatly. Will it happen? That remains to be seen.

Sounds great.
What i'd really like to see though is a Castle creator set- one in a similar vein to the Creator Houses where you've got all the pieces and you can just invent new designs. Like you said it could have grey bricks, arches, panels, and obviously a few ideas on the box for the younger market to build.

How about this one? (As Caylin mentioned...)

I think we'd all love to see it, and it would sell very quickly among AFOL's. But grey is a fairly drab and uninteresting colour when it comes to what kids like.

I was looking for that pic yesterday, but couldn't find it. I'm glad you did, John!

Honestly, I wouldn't be that interested in a bucket. The pieces tend to be too basic. My preference would be for a Creator castle. It doesn't even have to be to minifig scale. With all the great town-oriented sets, I'm feeling a bit left out. They are getting houses, cars, trucks, and now some shop @ home exclusives that blow every LEGO fan's mind. That's what I want for castle. A bucket won't cut it.

Or because it would be $50. If there's gonna be anything like this it better be a (or a few different) service set(s) for ~15€.lego fanatic wrote:. For like 50$. It would be good idea but not for kids because there would be no minifigs.

I think a castle creator set is long overdue - hard to imagine a red-roofed house having more selling value than a cool looking castle! & no wall pieces please

I would also love to see any of the things that have been mentioned, a tub, creator, or UCS type set. I'd even be happy if it was done like some of the Lego Education sets, where they just ship you a brown cardboard box full of parts, to cut costs. I put this as my #1 request on some survey I got.
I hope it's not too far off-topic to say I'd also love a "landscaping bucket" that's full of tree foliage, brown and green bricks, etc.

I, to, am a kid. The idea of it would be great, I need some more pieces. THANK GOD FOR BRICKLINK.COM!
