The BloodVaine EpicChapter 41: Preparation
Raderice and a pack of knights had finished cleaning the Golden Horn that had been full of cobwebs and spiders.
“Knights, I am sure you all know what this horn is, and what it’s purpose is. This horn was made for the soul purpose of gathering every Black Knight in Dametreos.”
All the knight were standing in a line. In front of every knight was a mouth piece. It took one hundred knights to make the horn blow.
Raderice lifted his arm and then let it fall. At that moment all the knights blew, making the sound that sounded like music to the Black Knights and pierced the ears of their enemies. The endless monotone traveled to all four corners of Dametreos for every faction to hear.
Beleriand was swift, he headed towards the Black Knights army three miles from the Black Falcon border. The dragon dropped out of the sky and landed not far from Black Falcon guard towers. They were sure the Black Falcons saw them.
“Where is my army of three thousand?” Sirion yelled out.
“I smell...men flash...” Beleriand said to Sirion.
“Don’t worry, soon you will be eating the flesh of rotting Black Falcons.” Sirion spat.
“It is not only Black Falcons that I smell my lord…” Beleriand replied.
A few minutes later they came upon a field of rotting corpses, Black Falcon and Black Knight alike.
“Oh Megablocks...”
Sirion was shocked at the sight.
“My lord, there is a battle raging a mile away, I can hear it.”
“Then let us make haste towards that battle!”
The dragon lifted it’s wings and started to fly towards the battle. From far up they could see Black Falcons and Black Knights battling.
“Eat all the Falcon you want, Beleriand!” Sirion yelled as both of them dived into the battle. Black Falcon bodies were falling fast under the fate of Beleriand. Soon every Black Falcon was rotting in the sun as the Black Knights shouted a victory cry. Then they wept for the dead soldiers that lay on the battle field.
“From what I can see, there are only one hundred and thirty-four knights left...”
“Aye milord, it is just us.”
Out of nowhere a sound came ringing in the knight’s ears, a sound they hadn’t heard in a hundred years. It was the Golden Horn of the Black Knights.
“Let us march back to our borders!” Sirion smiled as he climbed his dragon, “No more will the Falcons push us back!”
Sirion and his troops marched day and night. As they marched men and even boys came from every direction to join the army. They all had swords and armor of old. Sirion was amazed at the sight, for in two days over six hundred able-bodied men marched under the Black Knights flag. Everyone had the Black Knights blood in them, and more gathered the marching crusade.
“By the oath of my father, this is a sight!” Sirion said to himself as he marched with his growing army.
Raderice had gotten back to his post, but before he could sit down a bunch of men came him.
“Raderice! We must open the gates, there are over three thousand men armed for battle, and we have gotten news of men gathering in the north, south, east and west. All coming from all over Dametreos, all of them have the blood of the Black Knights! Also, there are four large troops gathering, all are gathering under the Black Knights flag...”
“How many men in each gathering?”
“About five thousand in least in each one. They are at least four days away.”
“Open the gates, quick. Make sure the blacksmiths are working day and night, for this city will have the largest army in all Dametreos in four days...” commanded Raderice.
“Also, King Sirion is on his way back, with nine hundred troops, and more are gathering around him.”
“What happened to the three thousand?”
All of the men looked at the ground.
“Megablocks...” Raderice sword.
“Also, behind Sirion is the largest gathering of Black Falcon troops we have seen in a long time.”
Raderice couldn’t do a thing, he simply had to wait for King Sirion to come back, and give the orders for battle.
Sirion and his men were tired of marching day and night. They had finally passed into there own borders, with more men joining their march by the hour.
“Sir!” a knight cried, trotted up to Sirion, “I am glad you have returned to your own borders were you are safe, milord.”
“How does everything go in our lands?”
“Food is becoming scarce milord, and there are tents and camps all over our borders. Men from every direction are coming to the aid of the Golden Horn.”
“How many men have joined the army?”
“They are coming by the thousands. All under come under the Black Knight flag, all have the blood of the Black Knights running through there veins!”
This news put a smile on Sirion’s face, he knew his kingdom had a chance against the greatest army in all Dametreos, the Black Falcons.
“Also milord, a Black Falcon army is headed this way. They have already started to overrun the Classic LEGOland borders!”
“How many are headed this way?”
“From what we have seen and heard, over a million milord...”
Silence followed this statement.
“By Chodan...”
“Raderice has been waiting for your orders to prepare to fight this large army.”
“He should have given the order the second he heard about this army!” swore Sirion, “You, make sure this army gets food and sleep!”
“Where are you going milord?” asked the knight.
But it was to late, Sirion had already climbed his dragon, and the dragon lifted off without question and headed for the Black Knights city were Raderice was in command.
Sirion made it back to the Black Knight city, and two days passed while he did everything he could to get him army ready for battle. Tents were made to hold the men outside the city, but since there were too many of them, they were running out of room. Blacksmiths were working day and night making swords and armor.
A Black Knight walked into the room where Sirion was signing papers.
“Sir.”
“What is it?”
“The Black Falcon army have passed our borders, burning everything as they go Milord.”
Sirion sighed and asked, “Is the army ready?”
“Most of our men are ready to fight, but it will take four more days for the blacksmiths to make armor and weapons for the rest, milord.”
“I want every man ready for battle tomorrow, we’re gonna take the Black Falcons head on!”
“Yes milord…”
The knight stepped back and closed the door.
Sirion looked at a wall where four shields hung. One shield had the Forestmen crest on it, the others had the Crusader, Wolfpack, and Classic LEGOland. And in the corner lay a rusty war-torn Black Falcon shield.
“What has this world come too…?”
