Re: Spiral Staircases

I still use the Harry Potter spiral staircases where I can. They are a lot cheaper and a lot less parts intensive than other solutions. It may not be the best solution but they work adequately when you're in a bit of a pinch for parts.

Re: Classic Castle mascot?

Honestly, I think that a contest is going to be the best way to come up with a CC mascot. Too many folks (including me  ) are already trying too hard to shape the mascot as their own creation rather than something that represents the community. We all have our opinions as to what a CC mascot sh...

Re: uneven base

As others have said, there are a number of reasons why this could be happening. It could be that you haven't pushed all of the bricks down properly. It could also be that you don't have enough support material under your plateau causing some of the plates/bricks to flex slightly when you've applied ...

Re: Maccusswell Castle

Great castle! I like the shape of it a lot, and you've got plenty of life in this MOC. The interiors are great, and really completes the MOC! I also really like the architectural details of the buildings facing the courtyard, very well done! I present to you my latest (and often delayed) MOC Haha y...

http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/kcrmccoy/Castle/Misc/piccyfix_1313693158_harvey_c-c.png Honestly, I really like this idea of being half-and-half, since it makes him so distinctive. And the "classic elements" are the old-fashioned face, sword and that helmet. This guy will likely get my ...

Re: Classic-Castle Sigfig Photoshoot 2011

Well, I've finally put together a sigifig. He's pretty simple; -Robin Hood head -Black Falcon's Torso w. white arms -White hips w. blue right leg and white left leg -old blue helmet with white visor http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6192/6056664495_324dbdf649.jpg If you can't find a blue helmet and whi...

Re: Classic Castle mascot?

I think I prefer Blue's version better, but he needs something to distinguish him from your everyday fig. Pauldrons and a cloak similar to Harold's perhaps? And I agree w/ Forestboy, the shield is a bit tricky to come by for most people, I think. I don't think that should be too much of a problem a...

Re: Classic Castle mascot?

I also like the name Harvey as it seems closely connected to the previous mascots. I was thinking something simple like one of the generic new lion knight torsos, a red pair of legs and a dragon knight flared helmet. Accessories are optional of course but could include a shield (I'm partial to the o...

Re: Collectable Figs Future Suggestions (Updated and Organiz

I posted this suggestion some time ago over at Eurobricks, but I thought I'd leave it here as well. I'd love to see LEGO make a plague doctor. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the profession, plague doctors were second-rate (or worse) physicians with little or no professional training who tr...

Classic Castle mascot?

Over the years Classic Castle has been host to two travelling mascots; Henry and Harold . These two globetrotters have traveled the world visiting many of the folks on Classic Castle, however their trips were often met with unexpected delays and mysterious disappearances. Harold has now been on his ...

Re: A discussion about MOCing

I think that part of the problem is that some people take any feedback very personally. For some builders, any and all criticism is viewed as a personal attack even when the comment was actually meant to be helpful. Suggestions are just that; personal opinions that can be listened to or disregarded....

Re: Nikaia Antipolis

This is wonderful. The fact your temple (Athena?) has a fully realized interior is even more fantastic. The white colour scheme with blue accents seems perfect for a Greek scene. In fact, all of your work has done wonders to show just how versatile white bricks can actually be. I love the shape of t...

Re: My First MOC!

My first online MOC was a castle that kind of looked like a giant toaster (not the best castle in the world). The structure was hinged to open like a dollhouse so the exterior ended up being a bit less than refined. Lionized Castle: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/blueandwhite/LionizedCastle/thumb...

Nice build.

Can we expect a minifig-sized version sometime in the future?

Re: Which Castle (2007) set is the best?

For me this line was predominantly about bricks and minifigs. I actually found most of the sets to be rather uninspired or downright mediocre. Still, it was easy to overlook when you had such spectacular minifigs. For me, the drawbridge defense was the best of the lot if only for the fact it include...
