I am sick of the very profuse LEGO designed ones, but I really like fan-built ones (like Nate's). I voted Yes.

I believe the correct term for the lego "catapult" is a see-saw with bucket at the end.

Personally, I don't care. If I don't like them I can simply dismantle them, and if the place looks blank then I'll add something. Spare parts.

Keep the catapults coming! for a modder of lego sets like me, all the catapults are good if you can make them have a greater range and a better purpose. I took a few techinc pieces and a pot and made a 20 foot thrower. I also took the "snow scoop" catapult and turned it into a shotgun like thing that can throw about 20 studs 8 feet. That would kinda obliterate a squad of attacking lego men.

I am going to put another post to say that the best way to have catapults would be to have about 4 mounted on a ship or something like that.

Heres my opinion on lego catapults if it can't knock something over like a lego guy then please don't use them i mean cmon a horse mounted catapult and catapult on a boat(kk2 knights Barge) i mean cmon Lego. i was playing with the Vladeks Dark Fortress and i was doing a siege for fun and the shadow knight killed king mathias and i wen to go use the horse mounted catapult and it just bounced right off the shadow knight.

My piont is if i don't knock anything over like a minifig then don't make them.

Another reason i don't like the catapults is that in history the kingdom didn't have catapults on a horse on every single object instead they have a large catapult or trebuchet.

Then again kids nowadays like cataoults just because of the shooting an object and for kids that actually a bonus all the catapults.

A catapult on a boat is historically accurate.

Catapults on horses. . .yeah, that's stupid. But it's really no different from action figures that fire plastic missiles from their arms. Kids tend to like stuff that shoots. The horse-mounted catapult may be stupid, but at least you can just remove it and give it the toss. It's a gimmick, but it probably appealed to a lot of kids.

My nephew has that set and loves it.

I am not at all sick of catapults. However, I wish Lego would start making some more accurate ones.

You said it  I'm sick of stupid looking catapults but I don't think that Lego should just drop them, they just need to make them better :D
Therefore, I voted no.

Well, with my vote, it's now 50-50 . . . exactly.
I voted "no," simply because I haven't accrued enough to get sick of them yet.

Well I don't have any good catapults due to the KK2 line, KK2 has no good catapults. I need another catapult that is actually good, but they probably need to limit the catapults to 1-2 a year instead of 2-4 bad catapults a year.
