Anyway, Tjsingle, alot of these figs look pretty good. I really like the way you did the paudrons on this guy.

I really like the look of your crusaders. They would look great in a massive battle scene.
The pauldrons do look impressive, except that the arms would now have a very limited movement arc. This is a trade-off I am not willing to make, as the movement of minifigs is extremely limited as it is.kelderic wrote: I really like the way you did the paudrons on this guy.

These are very well done customs. I like the look of the second knight from the right: the black and white cross is simple but effective.

I like the crusaders, and the gold knight is nice, even if his shield needs a little work. I saw this folder yesterday too, so thats my second time taking a look.

I didn't notice before.

Interesting, I used a similiar technique when building my Black Knight, as seen in this forum viewtopic.php?t=9005

The technique of using visors as shoulder plates is a solid and old one, you did a good job on it. However, looking at your customs, seems like paint application is a big area for improvement. It looks very sloppy, with uneven lines and areas of incomplete coverage. Try doing several thin layers, or even thinning your paint. Masking off areas will get you neat and straight lines, and spraypaint will probably give you the best results.

Overall I like your designs. I am a fan of the periods you chose to model. I would say that the fit and finish need work. Emily pointed this out as well, and I don't mean to pile on. But I like the effort, and I want to love it. The cut-out around the boss on the Roman tower sheild is a good example, it looks rough, as if you rushed through it. And there appears to be something under the sheild coming through on top. In these little pictures, the smallest things come out unfortunately. This might have been the one you throw out, the one you learned on, we all do that--trial and error. Don't let detract from the overall positive nature of my response. Clean up the details, and you will be solidly on your way!
