Unless I'm missing something, they took the entire castle category off of the themes page on S@H now.

Nothing in the new catalog either, except for the expander pack and equipment pack.

I'd assume the old sets were the victim of "reducing the number of SKUs" or something.

Hopefully this is just paving the way for a new series of legends and MOC sets to start coming out before year's end.

...but I see that the online Lego Shop still has all the
Castle Exclusives buried in their "Exclusives - Legends"
section, still marked as Sold Out.

Discontinued or not, it is a positive sign that LEGO might
make another production run.... (keeping my fingers
crossed in hope).

The new line of Knight's Kingdom II will be in its own section anyways....and (those of us) in North America
will have to wait until then to get some more substantial
new castle items.

Though, there are some nice Harry Potter and Spiderman
items (if you like the new colors and if you don't mind paying full retail).

You are correct. The category was removed from the "themes" index on Shop at Home for America. You can find the old page if you search around. I also did that just like Ben M.

I want to point out that several castle sets are still listed as available in some European countries. Recently I saw that Denmark had BFF, Blacksmith Shop, and King Leo's Castle. It is possible that the castle sets sold out in North America. What I find suspicious is that they all seemed to sell out at the same time.

Here is the updated list of available castle items at SAH in America:

I also hope for future runs of the legends. They have made many children happy and obviously sold well.

Well, here is an update:
I did not receive the replacement set, so I called Lego to check on the situation, as the birthday is around the corner now. I was informed that there were no more of the BFF set, and that I should explain to my son that "It is still a new set, the box just got damaged when they sent it to Momma, and now we have a $40 credit to use at Lego, instead of a perfect box." Yes, they gave me a Shop at Home credit instead, which is fine. I hope some cool Castle sets will be available so's I can use it!!! ;)

Not a bad deal! If I had a new in box BFF I'd trade you it for the damaged one plus $40! :D

I just placed my order for the BFF. I am excited, as this will be one of my only classic castle set as I was a spacer back then. They are in stock in England! If you have friends here, you could tell lego to send it there and they could mail it to you in the USA. Just a thought.

Chicago Lego Store still has them available for Phone Order.
They also have Black Falcon's Fortresses. Each $40.

....but You have to have a Credit Card AND you need a
physical address in USA. I have a US Postal Address
and I physically live out of Country (In Canada), so
I didn't qualify.

However, with quick thinking, I got a "friend" to volunteer
to accept the shipment, and then I would pay to
ransom the sets from them.... :)

sounds promising... at least the sets are still there...they haven't taken them off the site (yet). I talked with one sales rep. and she said the Blacksmith Shop definitely won't be coming back.... that is depressing!!! (but what does she know.....)

She probably knows that the Blacksmith Shop is gone for good...
I'd assume they're all going to stay gone.

That set you linked above is nice. I bought one of them a long time ago when it was still new. I liked when accessory packs were only $3.00 or so.

*Hint* *Hint*

I wish the Lego company would do something like this. I their current kit, you only get one sword, one spear, one this, one that. Not very useful for equiping an army unless you buy alot of them.

just an update:

the "friend" received the items and then forwarded the
items. They are safetly stored now at my house.

also: looks like Chicago Lego Store was tapped out.
Will check out Mall of America to see if they have any
Blacksmith Shops. MOA doesn't have any more
Guarded Inns, for those who wanted to know.

Thanks,
Ben
