You love those rounds don't you?
Seriously, your improvement is insane. Nice work, as ususal; but I don't think ground is green underneath
(but to get techical the ground underneath isn't yellow either).
Great job! I'm probably going to try my own hand at a round tower with my castle town. I'm contemplating building a small fort/castle out on a rock off shore...

I commented on your HP entry and I don't really know what to add actually. How many times can one say awesome?
The use of round bricks and goblets in the towers is brilliant and something I really have to use. The use of slopes and texture around the windows is brilliant as well.
And what more can I say..? Nice trees!

Thanks, I'll have to try that one day.DARKspawn wrote:Thanks again for the kind words all
The octagons are done with brick hinges, I used rows of 1x1 rounds to try & hide the gap. The Observatory is actually only attached to the base by a 1 x 8 section, I used tiles under the structure in other areas to make it look "attached"Spongey wrote:I still don't understand how to make towers that don't just have four sides. How did you do this?
I forgot to give a nod in Brody's direction for giving me the idea to actually make a medieval observatory, although mine pales in comparison to his in terms of size

Towers are my favorite architectural structures. This one is astounding. The construction is very beautiful as is the landscaping. Im am curious though, how did you start the bases of the towers? Are they not stuck to the board by chance or are they slightly raised off of it?

They are actually set on tiles. Only one, 1 x 8 section of the main tower is actually attached to the landscaping - the front door section. The dark tide wrote:how did you start the bases of the towers? Are they not stuck to the board by chance or are they slightly raised off of it?
