Hockey Vigs

Post by Elephant Knight »

Or should I say...

Calgary Flames vigs! (You Canadian's should know what I am talking about)

Here are my latest vigs. I may have made these a while back, (Like a maonth or so!) but they are still my latest vigs.

I present to you:

Matthew Lombardi skating by the blue lin.

FORECHECKING!

A game (or maybe a period? starts.

He shoots! HE SCORES!

Lombardi gets mad.

He got what he deserved.

Tell me what you think. Especially about my skates (Pic

Comments and criticism welcome

Elephant Knight, Shoots and SCORES!!! I like them alot. Having another hockey fan here is even better. I like the skates alot, but don't know if I can bring myself to cut up a piece like it it appears you did  . Since you weren't here when I posted my hockey stuff and I don't know if you've seen it or not, here it is http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=71160 . I also have a Lego hockey page on my website that you can find in my sig. I just had a dream about my Lego hockey last night, so it was awesome to wake up and see someone post about Lego hockey. Great job

EKnight,

A very nice vig selection. The scenes are well done. I like your rendition of the helmets. However, your choice of team to highlight is... um... problematic for me.

Quickblade,

I missed your original announcement. Your ice rink is awesome. How durable is it during play?

Wel, even though I'm a (gasp) Tampa Bay Lightning fan, I can enjoy these vigs of an under-represented sport!

Hockey?! You got to stop living in the past and embrace the future, soccer!

However your vigs here are very creative. The skates are wonderful, did you brake some LEGO to create them? :?

Yea... Anaheim Ducks would be the only true team... ;)

Anyway, nice little vigs. How did you do the skates? They look custom to me..

In a dream world, this is where I would insert a comment about the NY Islanders... but since they haven't done anything since the 70s..... :(

Great figs you have there - I like the way you did the sticks and you posed them in a way that did look very much like a hockey player skating. Cool idea - I haven't seen a hockey LEGO creation in some time~

Yes, I did cut a peice. The parts that you see are the side parts of a grill. It is my (I think) own design. I realy like it.

To all those replies agout which team(s) you like:

Flames will rule!

Dang! Calgary Flames, eh? I don't think we can speak to each other anymore. I'm sorry to say that I'm from Edmonton, and it's my duty to degrade and make fun of you for as long as you live.

just kidding, of course, and I'm not much of an edmoton fan anyway (last time I checked though, Edmonton and Calgary were neck and neck....for last place in the western conference...)

nice vigs though! I've tried hockey ones before and it's really tough to do hockey in lego

EKnight, I'd like to see you continue making more hockey vigs. I'm so tempted to use your skate design, but I'm too happy with the one I use. I do believe that it is original, as I know mine is not.
Quickblade,

I missed your original announcement. Your ice rink is awesome. How durable is it during play?
It was not very durable and did not play well. I intended it to play like a rod hockey game, but it failed. I have since done away with it in favor of a solid surface, but I may try to incorporate the official "rod" pieces in the future.

Man, this topic got alot of people bragging up there teams. This is why I went with the fictional team approach. Most of the teams mentioned so far are on my dislike list.
Yea... Anaheim Ducks would be the only true team...
Why would he say such a thing?..... Maybe he's related to someone on the team?

Challenge accepted 8)

(And beware, Vikings are known to get quite fierce when it comes to defending family honour ;))

Sorry for drifting off-topic but bringing up Hockey teams kind of asks for it :P
