For children, Age 21+ ;)

Lord Doom, the simple fact you were able to learn to control yourself means you had an innate capability for calming yourself down that some people will never have.

You're right they are for kids and should be, but even then it's only some kids, because not everyone has the temperament for it. But I wasn't talking about kids, just people in general. Some people are completely inept with Lego products as children and as adults. I should know, I'm related to quite a few of them! My brother is the classic example. He isn't turned the right way, it's just a bunch of plastic to him.

It takes a certain spacial intelligence to see a pile of bricks and turn it into something recognizable as something else. Some people have that innate capability (some of the people on this forum have a very high inherent capability for it), and some people don't. That doesn't mean you can divide the world into those two categories since there's infinitely many other things that make people different, but this is naturally a very relevant aspect since we are talking about Lego bricks.

One group is not "better" than the other, it's just one of the many differences people have.

Now more options, yeah, that'd be nice. I for one would like to someday recreate the mall from Dawn of the Dead with Legos...

I seem to recall that push in the days of Jake McKee, though he himself spearheaded the more Train based offerings, it was certainly a more AFOL focused Direct.

kids are the main buyers of toys. in order to be profitable, they have to market to kids.

I would LOVE to see sets from the Matrix, 300, sleepy hollow, and others. (please note all the titles listed are rated R) But I just dont see that happening with lego. I actually was a bit suprised lego made Star wars 3 legos because it's rated PG-13. Though, with their license w/ lucasfilm it only made sense. I do remember under the jurassic park 3 sets it said: Parents, please note jurassic park 3 is rated PG-13
Yes, I use to many smilies. Who Cares!
