Steamwars Naboo Starfighter

Post by Hob Took »

It's not mine, I just found it on brickshelf, but I thought you guys might be interested. I especially like the monkey hanging off the end  ! With all these cool things going around I might make an entry.

That's Mark Stafford's RNAF-1 steamwars entry.
I'm pretty sure he's a member here, so I'll hold off on any explanation of the MOC for him.

Absolutely incredible!

Small touches like the ice-cream steam, the monkey, the Dwarf Helmet nose cone and the seamless use of bionicle bits make this one stand out. Of the Steam Wars MOCs I've seen, this and the TIE Steam really jump out at you.

Amazing how contests bring out the best in a builder.

Thanks Hob Took, guess I should have figured Steampunk verges on the castle realm and CC might have some interested builders!

Wow, that is one insanely amazing Naboo Starfighter. I like how you incorporated Bionicle elements into the front.

How long did it take you to build it?

Is there a single place where all the entries are showcased?

I would like to know this too, I'd love to browse through it all :)

Cheers guys,

It took a weekend to build the sketch model:
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2928290

A few people made some very valuable comments and I refined the model over another weekend.

All the entries are posted in this thread on FBTB:
http://www.fbtbforums.net/viewtopic.php?t=25231
but if you want to make comments then you have to go and find the announcement thread elsewhere in the forum, as it's only for the entries!

I'm afraid my FBTB account is jammed at the moment so I haven't got this up there yet!

Cheers,
Mark.
