Skellie Variations

Updated January 29th. Added new Skellies at the end of the list.

While sorting out some LEGO to sell over on eBay today, I played around with some skeleton figures I had in one bin, coming up with a couple fun variations.

Headless Horseman
'He's got no head on his little body..'

Couldn't get the hand posistioned quite the way I wanted it, but he turned out alright.

Pirate
"Shiver me timbers!"

I like that Dwarf beard for pirate figures, it's very fitting I think.

Undead Knight
'The Good Knight gone bad to the bone.'

This guy can pose pretty cool. I like that he can hold an ovoid shield.

Bat-Borg
'Part Skellie, Part Cyborg, Part Bat Lord.. I call him- Bat-Borg!'

The Cyborg arm was one of my better brainstorms as of late, made this Skellie pretty interesting.

Royal Knight
"Goes right through me every time.."

I think the Royal Knight skellie is my favorite, he's nice and colorful, and the classic skeleton head makes him nice and happy.

Tall Knight
'He's Got Knees!'

When parting out a bunch of '07 sets a few months back, one of my brothers took all the white skellies I had and put together one that was insanely tall. It was quite a sight!

Greek Warrior
"This is Sparta!"

Gotta' love that BrickForge. This guy would be nothing without that awesome gear!

Undead Mage
'A mage who brought back men from the dead who was brought back from the dead to bring back the dead.'

Stretch Skellie
'..He's as tall as a battle axe!'

I can't tell you how much I love that visor in metallic silver, it's stunning.

Lanky Lou Viking
'He's crazy mad and mad crazy.'

He's striking pretty much the same pose as the Skellie in my 'Giant Skeleton Attack' vig.

Farmer
'On the bright side, they can use him as a scarecrow now..'

Ok, maybe I just wanted to show off one of my pitchforks...

Samurai Bowman
'This guy is pretty awesome, no bones about it.'

I love the Bone-Bow, it actually holds quite well.

Bone Ninja
'That's one wicked blade'

It's great how ninja hoods can actually turn a bit on a Skellie's body.

Prince Crownie
'..A fine prince he was.'

Whoever came up with the modded crown idea is genious.


It was surprisingly fun to try and think up different skeleton characters, would have kept going with it if I hadn't run out of those new skellie torsos (Think I have more in another bin somewhere.).

If any of you have any neat skeleton characters you have come up with, by all means post a link. I'd like to see what people can do with all those skellies they have lying around.

Hehe... Those are some great skeletons, Amanda! The arms are very nice, and look amazing. The characters are very nice indeed.

The Pirate Skeleton is very cool. I can imagine him piloting a ghost ship in dark waters on foggy nights. The dwarven black beard is a nice touch.

You know I have been thinking about doing this as well... some skellie ideas floating around my head for the last few days. I might just do them now.

I like the Royal knight skellie too. Very funny.

For some reason when I saw the 2007 sets army of darkness came to mind.

The pirate I like the best. It looks nearly exactly like one I made not too long ago though. But I must say, yours is much better .

Also, how about a ninja and/or viking skellie(s)? I'd love to see one of those!

Oooh, sounds cool. If I ever make a Pirate Ship MOC, this guy's definetely the captain!

Thank you. I came up with the idea while making a vig of a Giant Skellie chasing a Crownie last year, works great for poses.

Give me a couple of days. I have some stuff I ordered for someone in the family and piggybacked a few little bits onto the order for myself (hey I paid for it). I will post a few little pictures as soon as can.

I love the tall skeleton. It makes the huge swords look about single hand size... an ancient race of long extinct giants terrorizing the lands?

I like the foreboding doomishness of your bat-borg. I don't know why, he's just scary and it's cool. It's hard to be afraid of a Lego admittedly, but if he was chasing after me I'd probably run like heck. The others are great. And I agree the modified crown is very nice looking atop a mini-fig's head.
