Cooked Turkey Shield and Torso Designs

Post by SavaTheAggie »

After recieving several requests for the Cooked Turkey designs which is found on our Thanksgiving main page, I've decided to share. In fact, I had already created a torso design to share before reading the current petition that's out there ;)

Anyway.

Anthony,

You know what you've gone and done, don't you? Now we're all going to be expecting shield/torso designs for other upcoming significant days:

St. Nicholas Day 6 Dec
Christmas Day 25 Dec
Boxing Day 26 Dec
New Years Day 1 Jan
Martin Luther King Jrs Birthday 19 Jan (correct date???)
Robert Burns Day 25 Jan
Valentines Day 14 Feb
Canada Flag Day 15 Feb (also my birthday :D )
Presidents Day 16 Feb
(other nationalities can chime in with their favourites)

The possibilities, and expectations  , are endless!!!!!!

How will you satisfy demand?????

Enquiring minds want to know.

Well, for each of the events/season that C-C.com plans to change it's main page design I will make a matching shield design (or someone else will), where applicable. I already plan on making a large green shamrock shield and a heart shield.

However, I will not be making any shield designs or main page themes that are specifically political or religious in nature. This includes celebrity birthdays, days of independance, and the like.

While St. Patricks day is a little on the religious side, here in the US it has become more a social event than anything else. It is the same with Christmas, which has become something aethiests celebrate just to hand out gifts. We will be celebrating the winter holidays as a whole, without the textual or graphical representation of any particular religious references.

So. Expect a winter holiday themed shield, a Valentines shield, St. Patrick's day shield, perhaps even a New Year's shield. But I will not be making any sort of MLK, Cinco de Mayo, Fourth of July or Easter shields (though I may make a 'spring' themed shield just for fun).

How about Saint Crispin's Day?
"We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition:
And gentlemen in England now a-bed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day."
