There is one crucial difference which you are choosing to ignore. These other groups were groups first and they have a purpose and a history of activities outside of the business activities. These business activities support the real purpose of the club. Profit is not the main purpose of these organizations.
As its founder, I see no problem with deciding how it operates, including the notion that we make a profit through a store associated by name.
So you admit that the purpose of this so-called "LUG" is a private profit-making enterprise?
I am sorry if I am being harsh but if the only purpose of LibertyLUG is to make a profit it is not really a LUG. Doing business under the aegis of a club is deceitful. If it is not really a LUG the use of the LUG acronym could be considered fraud. Such abuse of the concept of a LUG could do irreparable harm to the relationship that real LUGs have with TLC and our local communities.
If your reputation really concerns you I suggest you either stop masquerading as a LUG (by calling yourselves LibertyCorp or LibertyCom or some other name) or you can create an entirely separate BL store that is not formally connected to the LUG. Continued use of the acronym LUG to obscure the private, commercial nature of your enterprise could be considered very offensive to members of actual LUGs.

You might have liberty but clearly the other three are in jeopardy here.
