I got the giant Chess set. Well, I got it at BrickCon, and it was a very suitable Christmas present indeed! As well several PaB cups, and few parts packs my wife got behind my back at BC. The kids got LEgo Indy for the PSP, lots of Bionicle and Star Wars sets. My mother in law got them Mega Bloks Dragons sets. The kids appropriately curled their noses at the affront! J/K! I'm not raising ingrates, but it was funny to hear them pick up on my dislike on the MB, feigned though it may be.

Merry Christmas to all!

My family's of the mind that you're never too old for LEGO, thankfully. ;)

My sister and brother-in-law managed to wrangle up one of the $50 castles Walmart had on sale a few weeks back, and mom picked up a few neat smaller, older sets from a local thrift store.

Honestly, it's felt very strange asking for or expecting much this year given how tight the economy and funds are for most everyone, but I'm incredibly grateful that my family and I could get together and share a really fun day together. I hope everyone else celebrating has had just as much fun in their own way.

It's a great set! The only leftovers I had were some small slopes, technic pieces and some round trans neon orage 1x1s.

I got a Dwarf's Mine and a Final Joust I bought back in June but never opened (both duplicates of what I already own, bought for parts), as well as the two pirate impulse sets and $75 between two LEGO Store gift cards.

My wife got the Beach House.

And my son scored with the Duplo Thomas starter set, Gordon set, Percy set, the retired battery operated #3772 Duplo train set, and the Duplo train bridge.

I got the Pirate Ship from my wife, as well as the Crownie Chess Set (which I missed getting before it was discontinued). She also gave me the 50 Years of the Lego Brick book (which is very cool). My parents gave me the Lego Collectors Guide.

We have another Christmas, with my wife's family, tonight. May have an update after that. ;)

I got the new Pirate ship and the Imperial fort, both excellent sets that are better than I expected. I also got an Eyewitness Expert box set on knights, which has a lot of great construction ideas and inspirational pictures. I'm very tempted to buy the Medieval Market Village, but will probably hold off for the time being.
Also, my mother's slowly getting into the hobby, so we got her the Volkswagen Beetle.

None, though I gave my brothers a Bionicle and Star Wars Rebel Battle Pack. And I did get The Last Crusade, and Brisingr, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Wall-E, because my oldest sister is coming over to visit tomorrow with her husband and son.
