Right now I am. I made a group of rebels (peasants) that are going against the Crown knights.

My Crownie army is not really a good guy army, but neither are they a bad guy army. They can fight evil people like the shadow knights, but they can also fight good guys ;like the Royal Knights.

Well, it depends what faces you give them...its just too hard to think badly of soldiers who smile all the time!

I do think that any dominant faction can be set as bad - its all a matter of perspective, of course. Whether over-taxed peasants rising up against the money-hungry Crown, or the brave green-skinned warriors of the Uth'Gark clan fighting back against the (racist? speciesist?) policies of Western Crowneria, the possibilities exist. Now to start that battle scene with my heroic green-skinned not-orcs...

In my current story...yes. Crownies are evil. Evil. Evil. Evil. The skeletons are the good guys. Trolls used to fight everyone but have now sided with the crownies. Dwarves are allies of the skellies.

A while ago I built a small diorama in which a party of adventurers run into a group of crownies in a dungeon corridor.

Undead crownies.

Didn't see that one coming, did you?

Well maybe, but in my lego world it's more of a "I'm royal blue and gold with a crown symbol that means I'm better than you" kinda attitude. In other words they think their better than everyone else.

Think of it to be similar to racisim.

I don't assign loyalties to the soldiers themselves usually. They are loyal to the ruler of the Western Empire and if the ruler does not require an army, they are mercenaries for other allied countries.
I am the Ruler of The Western Lands. All shall bow before me!
