Did my monthly shopping run this weekend. It was so hot, we thought we needed the extra cooling power of dry ice. But we got a little too much, so I got to play. Here is the result:

I think this could be used to great effect in a convention display for a haunted house or foggy city scene...

Re: Fun With Dry Ice
Those are some really nice effects, Steve. I may have to try that at BrickCon. How long does the "fog" last? I haven't played with dry ice much...at least not for fog. I've done other things that are best not discussed on this forum.

Re: Fun With Dry Ice
It didn't last long the way I was doing it. But I was only using a little piece or two in a frying pan with some water in it. It was also rather windy yesterday, so it all blew away pretty fast. I had to construct little windbreaks to keep the fog in place.JoshWedin wrote:How long does the "fog" last? I haven't played with dry ice much...at least not for fog.

Ooo, what fun. I'd probably just Photoshop the effect, but it's neat seeing a practical, physical version of it. T'would be really interesting in the HP graveyard set, among others.

I'll have to experiment with it. I also used water in my "devices". I wonder if you used a big chunk, sans water, in a metal pan and built a cave over it...Athos wrote:It didn't last long the way I was doing it. But I was only using a little piece or two in a frying pan with some water in it.
Hmm...the wheels are turning now....
