Do not fear, there are two pitchforks in one of the upcoming Kingdoms sets. You can see pictures here. You might also be interested in some of the discussion here.
yay but why the heck do you need a pitchfork in space?
He who thinks you should look at the box that says "Quaraga" if you want to find out his username (about as useful to you as his real name). he only wants you to look so he can laugh about you looking there because he's a total smart...

oh-well at least it doesn't look to expensive.
That's funny! A space set is the last place I'd have expected to see a pitchfork!

They should have put a cow in that set... then you really would have a space cow...
I am just so happy for peasants and pitchforks that I have been pretty content and quiet about it. Put 'em in every set or theme, I don't care. Just so long as they are real.

Every additional set that contains the pitchfork will increase their availability, always 'A Good Thing'. The fact that it's in a smaller set than the windmill also bodes well for the ability to acquire them.
The new pitchfork mold is slightly different. For example the bottom of the old pitchfork was rounded (like the tip of a lance) but the new pitchfork is not. A softer plastic is also being used. I am very happy that the pitchfork has returned. Thanks TLG. But I prefer a the old solid abs version.
