favorite skeleton type?
now that we have 3 types of skeletons I thought it was about time we had pole
I voted strait arms because they are more possible than the floppy arms and ,in my opinion, the ninjagos feet are very strange.

Re: favorite skeleton type?
I went with the old floppy arms. The are simply the best ones to use as Skeletons, and have the most properly sized (to minifgs) arms.

Re: favorite skeleton type?
Of the three the Floppy Arms are the only ones I dislike. They refused to stand or be posed for the undead legions.
Serious, I like them all but for different things. The new Ninjigo ones have a lot of character and great armor. The others make great skeletons for filler or undead troops.

Re: favorite skeleton type?
I like the old ones, simply because they work better as 'ambush troops'. They can also be posed more realistically as dead guys. Although I only have a few, they are by far my favorite.

Re: favorite skeleton type?
I had to vote the fantasy line skeleton because I can pose them with weapons better. Otherwise I do like the old skeletons they are awesome but wierd when posing or fighting them. Ninjago skeletons kill me with the block feet. I mean really what kind of a person was that would died and became a skeleton they were cursed before they became undead.
Re: favorite skeleton type?
Floppy!
They look great when holding long-handled weapons that can prop their arms up, and the way they tip in random directions gives them a very "shambling undead" sort of look.

Re: favorite skeleton type?
I don't think they've made a skeleton that I like through-and-through yet.
Heads:
I definitely like the old-style heads the best. They were expressionless and gaunt, the way I'd prefer them. Newer skeleton heads are a little more over-the-top evil, or even "animated" in the case of the Undead in 2007. And then there's the Ninjago skeleton heads-- way too silly.
Arms:
The old-style arms were obviously very robust in terms of their angle of motion, but didn't have poseability going for them. The newer arms in the Undead had the poseability going for them, but I never liked how they look like over-sized gorilla arms, with knuckles almost dragging on the ground. They just don't look proportionally correct. The new Ninjago arms with the bend in the middle look a little better proportionally, but don't really have that "bony" look that the old arms did. So... I guess I'd either go with old-style or Ninjago arms.
Color:
I never really was all that into the black skeletons (or other one-off colors) that popped up. Gimme white skeletons!
So, I suppose my favorite is still the old skeletons, but it'd be nice if they came out with something better!

Well that's not nice what if he got burnt while tanning or while fighting a dragon and got burnt black or what if he was just undead born that way.

Re: favorite skeleton type?
My favorite is the old, wobbly skeleton type.
To me, they seem the most "dead" if you will. They had arms that drooped and fell in all directions and gave a good limp looking collection of bones. The newer skeletons are fine for fantasy, but since I keep a somewhat realistic feel to my MOCs, I prefer skeletons to be actually dead.

Re: favorite skeleton type?
Keeping this on topic, I like the old style skeletons the best. BUT..I do like the new skeleton arms for building with. Personally, I'm all about the tan skeleton (as if that should be a surprise to anyone) right now because...well not all bones are white.

I would ask you nicely to come up with a different way to make your funny comments or jokes without the words racism or racist. Things like "fleshie snob" or "anti-fleshie" or the like.

Re: favorite skeleton type?
The old floppy armed ones are useless! Nonetheless, the newer fantasy ones looked a bit unnatural with their stiff arms. For me, the ninjago skeletons are the best as their arms are poseable and look good, plus the hips are printed which is nice. Although naturally I use a mixture in my army of the undead since variety is the spice of life

Re: favorite skeleton type?
That's why I use Ninjago skeletons with 'old' style feet. That way you get the best of both worlds.lord_of_orks wrote:in my opinion, the ninjagos feet are very strange.
Although, if I want to have skeletons that are just lying around, I prefer the old, floppy armed skeletons.
Re: favorite skeleton type?
Old floppy easy. They are definitely more difficult than the other two to pose, but there are tricks and angles that will make them hold still in almost any position you want, plus when limp they look really slouched and shambling like I prefer my undead. The Fantasy Castle skellies bug me in two ways; the arms and the heads. The arms are for the same reason as everyone else, and the head is because I hate the smily face and eyes. The eyes would be better if they were just red for an eerie glow, but the red with pupils bugs me allot. The ninjago ones are way too silly, and their arms look way too smooth for bones.

Re: favorite skeleton type?
I'm all about the old floppy ones. There are ways to get them to pose correctly and they do look better dead than any of the newer ones.
That said I use all of them in my undead army. Gives it a nice variety. I love the new tan skeletons but wish they had made heads to match. But then I'm still mad that they didn't make sand green legs for the Harry Potter skeleton thingies.
