6. You may build a scene (fitting on two 32x32 baseplates or one 48x48 baseplate) for your siege weapon. However the admins will grade primarily on the siege weapon itself instead of the castle/fort/town it is attacking.
lord_of_orks wrote:I have two questions about the Mythical creatures category. will the entries be judged on the creature, the scene,or both?
7. Both.
Can you include more than one creature in one entry?

8. Yes. However there should be one primary custom creature in your entry.

9. Yes. We encourage members to post threads about their creations in the Castle MOCs sections. The "submit an entry" pages will be ready in a few days. Please remember that all entries must be submitted through the online entry form to be eligible.

You can begin to post new entries in the forums right now. The entries should be complete and remain unchanged. It is bad form to ask for building suggestions for CCC entries in the forums.

9a - Just to expand a little on what Ben wrote and also to anticipate a question that comes up each year. Your submission is limited to a gallery with three pictures for the sake of judging., but it is perfectly fine to have a separate gallery with as many pictures as you like to share with others and discuss in the forum. The judges will ignore those additional galleries and the forum threads on entries.

That :)
And Elephant Knight should know, CC is all about honour. It's an absolute honour to win a prize in this contest.

Hello again,

last year it was posted by an admin, that the era the mocs can take place between 600 and 1600 A.D. So just to be sure: is it ok, if i depict a scene that takes plac in italy between 1400 and 1450 A.D. and thus incorporates elements of early renaissance buildung style (might be a combination of late medivial and early renaissance or a somewhere between bot styles)

next: is there a requirement of scale in the bandit's raid category? i dont mean the baseplate it fits on but rather the scale of the attack regarding the number of attackers, victims and loot.

I see a few options here:

1) Run your own contest and provide better ways to get prizes that are not "underwhelming"
2) Do something about it like donate yourself something not "underwhelming"
3) Be happy that there are some out there donating some pretty nice, expensive and vintage prizes out of their personal collections.

Really quite simple.

...and i have another question, this time about the hidden treasure category: Do i have to show the treasure while it is hidding or does the process of hiding it count also?

Sorry, I guss I should have thought a bit more. I was a bit tired and distracted last night (Hockey game that went badly in my team's favor). I apologize for my rude behavior.

Going to go in a corner now......

For the castle category, does the castle have to be realistic? Or could it more fantasy?

Thanks!

10. Yes, so long as your building fits in with the other category requirements (ie: wooden castle, stone castle, etc).
Is there a requirement of scale in the bandit's raid category? i dont mean the baseplate it fits on but rather the scale of the attack regarding the number of attackers, victims and loot.
11. There must be at least two bandits (plural) attacking any number of victims.
Do i have to show the treasure while it is hiding or does the process of hiding it count also?
12. The treasure should be shown it it's hiding place. We are not looking for the process of hiding the treasure.
Jacks100 wrote:For the castle category, does the castle have to be realistic? Or could it more fantasy?
13. The castle must contain several of the traditional elements listed in the castle requirements (gate tower, side towers, a courtyard, interior buildings, a moat, drawbridge, and a portcullis). It could be fantasy based as long as it also contains the elements listed above.

aside from the fig based categories to which the answer seems obvious, are micros allowed given, of course, that they fit in to the category otherwise?
He who thinks you should look at the box that says "Quaraga" if you want to find out his username (about as useful to you as his real name). he only wants you to look so he can laugh about you looking there because he's a total smart...

Hello! Well, I have never made a MOC as good as those who people have posted here on CC, I think that's partly because of the lack of bricks (that because I started my new collection of Legos recently). To enter the contest, Can I present my MOC made with the Lego Designer software, by following the rules of the competition? (although I understand that what was done physically is much better than builded virtually).

I dare to ask about this because in the past small castles contest I saw someone submitted his proposal, which was done by software.
