Two Mosaics: Doctor Emmett Brown and Pinky & The Brain

Postby JoshWedin » Tue Feb 28, 2012 3:51 pm

Hey All,

I've been working on two mosaics that will be displayed at Emerald City Comic Con, later this month, and I thought I would share them here.

The first is of Christopher Lloyd in his iconic role as Doc Brown from the Back to the Future movies.

The second is of those two demented lab rats, Pinky & The Brain!

The Doc Brown one is complete and I have some last few tweaks to make to the Pinky & The Brain one.

Let me know what you think!

Very very nice!! Well done! But then I do like a good mosaic or two. These made me smile. Smiling is a very good thing. Much thanks for that!

So THAT's where you've been the last couple of months! Off building mosaics and neglecting your Castley friends. I see how it is ;)

That said, those look awesome. Nice job. The "Doc" one is especially impressive!

Instantly recognizable!

The Doc Brown one is my favorite, that pose is a great one and you pulled it off extremely well!

Those are really nifty! Are you going to show us a final version of the Pinky and the Brain one, when you're done tweaking? I'd be interested in seeing it. Enerald City ComicCon, hmmm? Now I'll have to look and see when it is. We're going to visit family over there soon-ish.

I suppose this also explains your new "location". Weren't you out in the goat pasture previously?

It would be great to see you! I probably won't post the finished product until I take pictures at Comicon. It won't look much different. The tweaking basically involves replacing some worn or discolored brick and filling in some holes that don't show up in that pic. This is a case of the picture looking better than the mosaic in person.

Hey Josh!

Great work here! The Doc Brown one captures the character very well, in my opinion. Very nicely done. Pinky and The Brain is well done as well: it captures the feel of the cartoon perfectly.
