An Ignorant Mistake

Lord WIlliam of York declared himself King of England just five days after Henry the Lionhearted went to go fight the Crusades. The vain self-declared King now sought to take over Wales. He made way to the Welsh city of Calfin. However, William's army was spotted! A bold Welsh knight named Louie of Wales decided that he would stand his ground and raise an army. He called upon the Irish to help in the cause and in response the Irish sent Mark of Dublin and his followers. The day of the battle came soon enough and when William arrived he was shocked to see the Welsh stand their ground. The Welsh had burnt the bridge to the Calfin so there wouldn't be an easy way into the city.

"You are a coward whom ever you may be!"

Louie of Wales looked at the vain self-declared King.

"Me? Coward? You are the one who took the English throne when the King was out fighting wars!"

"I give you one chance to back down! All of you!"

The defenders didn't move. Then William turned his horse around and whispered to his general:

"Kill them, kill them all!"

In a flash William left the battle while his men fought for his cause. The general gave a nod to the head swordsman and with that the swordsman started into the water.

"For Britium" he yelled. "For Britium" the other soldiers responded as they all went into the river to get to the other side. The Welsh and Irish archers at the top of the wall started firing and many of men fell to the arrows. While the English soldiers were trying to cross, many of the Welsh soldiers joined in the water and started to attack to English soldiers.

Louie of Wales and Mark of Dublin charged at the general. Although there were two flamethrowers firing at the Louie of Wales and Mark of Dublin, the two knights made there way to the other side.

The battle was closing to a near. Most of the English soldiers were either being killed in the water are being shot down by arrows. The last English man standing was the general who, by this time, fell off his horse.

Louie of Wales charged at him like a mad man and the confused general easily fell from Louie's blow.

The English casualties were tremendous. The battle marked the beginning of a long and bloody war. But for now, attacking the Welsh at Calfin was surely an ignorant mistake.

Nice build! I'm Irish, Welsh, and English (as well as Transylvanian and German) so it's cool to read about people I may have been related to - my grandfather was from the Moore clan.
The water looks great, as does the castle itself. Great job!

Very nice MOC, I really like the wall and all the foliage.

I'm mostly Swedish and Norwegian royalty and the rest is, as they say, history. :)
