Re: LCC - Garheim Official Faction Thread *GC V Now Live!*
This is a slightly delayed MOC set before the events of the coronation. My character was meant to be travelling through the forests of Lenfald on his way to Loreos but recent developments have required me to change his direction. I've had the cart built for a couple of weeks, but have only just found the time to finish the rest of the scene...
It was still a short journey to the safety of Aunt Hilda's, but it felt like they had already been on the road for months, and Jaykob was beginning to lose sight of his original mission.
"We'll be there soon" piped Happy "I know these woods like the back of my hand... I used to be a Squirrel Scout you know!"
Jaykob smiled, he had heard his cousin's Squirrel Scout tales before, and they never seemed to serve them well.
Happy continued "You have no need to worry Jaykob, nothing could possible surprise... YIKES!" Happy squealed as they stepped out of the wood and onto a well worn path. A waggon had almost mown then down in the process.
"Wooah there!" shouted the waggon driver "What ya doin' jumpin' outta the woods on me loik that?" he exclaimed "Ya not bandits are ya?".
"Oh no! Begging your pardon sir, we were just a little lost" Jaykob said apologetically. Happy huffed at the idea of being lost.
"Well where ya goin' lads? I'm off to the coronation of the new Queen with me finest brews, but if it's on me way, I'd be happy to gives yous a lift" replied the merchant.
"The coronation?" answered Jaykob inquiringly. A lot of this news had passed him by, but this sounded like an opportunity too good to pass up. "Oh yes, that's where we're headed as well..." "It is?" Happy asked. Jaykob gave his cousin a nudge "We'd be delighted to give you a hand".
"Well that be mighty kind of ya!" the old man replied "I could do with some help. Hop aboard! Or in my case, I guess it's 'Hops aboard'". The merchant chuckled at his wit and spurred the wagon on as Jaykob and Happy clambered on the back.
Jaykob wasn't quite sure of his plan but he realised that answers to the King's death were most likely to be found with the new Queen, whoever she was...

I guess I'm submitting this as a free build for September. Realised I haven't included the banner but hope you'll forgive me this once.

Re: LCC - Garheim Official Faction Thread *GC V Now Live!*
There are some great builds for the Garheim faction in GC V.
Luckily I have logged in early enough to read about that I have post my entry in the official GC V thread as well to enter the challenge.
The bad thing is that school started today what means I can't finish my storyline and I still have to build the MOC for the EB Star Wars Roleplay on the weekend.
What means the story will only continue the content of the prevously shown moc.

Re: LCC - Garheim Official Faction Thread *GC V Now Live!*
My entry for GC5
It was quite early in the morning. The boat that would take him to his grandfather on an island in the middle of the Northern Sea, had now been out sailing for an hour. Knut stood at the bow of the ship, having toughts of freedom and hope in his mind. Eric came out of the cabin, looking a bit green in his face. "well, you don't look to feel so well!" said knut laughing. "This sea is going to kill me" said Eric, being a bit angry. "You're not used to water are you?" Knut asked. "Yeah" Eric said "Folconhaus is perhaps not the best sailors in Roawia..." Knut looked at Eric for a while then bursted in to laughter! "Hahaha yeah, you're probably right!".
Then Eric took up his telescope to look around in the foggy mists. He searched for seagulls or any sign of life or civilization. After a while he caught the shadow of a ship... "Knut, i saw a Ship!" Eric gasped. "That's probably nothing. Just you being a bit sick and hallucinating" said knut and walked away... Then a giant spear was coming flying and aimed on Knut's back. Eric took a leap and and pushed Knut to the deck. The arrow then plopped down in to the water. Knut, now being in shock shouted: "Prepare for battle, we have men of the queen to slay!" They then sailed into the course of the warship that now looked to be an two-masted caravelle!
Knut had waited for this day. To finally chop off arms and legs on the men of Queen Galainir, those who had put the land in darkness and sorrow. They approached the ship, being filled with soldiers to slaughter. "they are to many sir, we are outnumbered" said one of his men. But Knut just smiled... for he didn't know what waited him nor his men.
Then Knut saw the giant ballista sitting on the bow of the Queens warship. But he still had faith in his cause. Knut shouted for the first wave of arrows to be fired on the enemy. Though the luck was not with him nor his men. They did not kill as much men as Knut had thought they would. But the men they lost was too many! Then Knut saw the ballista aiming a burning spear at one of the barrels filled with gunpowder and he yelled: "TAKE COVER!" But it was to late. The ship blew up with every of his garhims on it.
To be continued...
I still haven't found out how to put up pics on the forum (if anyone could help me? ) but heres the links, have a good day!

Re: LCC - Garheim Official Faction Thread *GC V Now Live!*

I had started a couple nice vigs for GC5 but my friend from Tennessee came up to visit so I've had no time to finish them. Suffice it to say, no entry from me. Sorry to have missed two GC's like this but I'll definitely have some new builds in the next week or so.

Faction: Garheim
Name: Sir Henri Delancy
Pic here- http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/370382
The son of a high ranking city lord of Grahnhaven, Sir Henri Delancy is a knight of Garheim. His family has a small, but rich estate southeast of Grahnhaven while his family consists of his father, mother, and sister .Henri is considered to be among the top knights in the country. He has a quiet personality, speaking only when feels the need to. To people that he knows well though, he has a great sense of humor and is quite talkative. He has great respect for anyone whether it be peasant or noble as long you show the same to him. Henri is not easily angered, but if you do make him angry, he is a foe to be feared. He is an easygoing guy, but can be very serious at times. The wealth that his family’s estate provides allows them a furnish a well rounded contingent of light mounted men at arms, heavy men at arms, spearmen, archers, 2 long ships, a trading vessel, and some siege equipment.
EDIT- Link might not be usable for a couple hours til it's moderated...

Here's my entry...
http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/370379
Here the queen and two of her new allies plan a new campaign in the royal castle; while Sir Henri and his father plan the survival of their people (and possible resistance) inside of a pavilion deep in the forests of Garheim.
-Note- Sorry 'bout the quality of the pics. I had to use my cellphone (will borrow parents camera in future...)to take them and I have yet to assemble a "professional" photobox sort of thing...
Also it may be a couple of hours til the link is moderated by mocpages; so link may possibly not work right now.

AK or gurusql: do you have an entry count for the other factions? Just curious how we compared in total participation.

Garheim's Local Challenge #15 – The Hidden Camp
Greetings Citizens of Garheim! Here is the official announcement of the Garheim's Local Challenge #15 – The Hidden Camp.
The Challenge: As we move past GCV, for the characters that are not still imprisoned it will be a time of chaos. (Please see AK_Brickster's post in the Coronation Thread if you were captured and did not escape.) Many of the residents of Garheim have fled to the countryside.
In this contest please build an original creation that will show your character creating, working on or otherwise interacting with a Hidden Camp. This should not be the construction of a permanent structure, but should be both temporary and discreet in appearance, so as to avoid detection. An example Lego set would be the classic Forestmen "Camouflaged Outpost", only Garheim style!
Requirements: The MOC should have the following:
Any questions can be asked in this thread or PMed to me (gurusql).
Scoring:
Everyone will get 4 points for entry
There will be winner and honorable mention. The winner will get 9 additional points and the Honorable Mention will get 3 additional points.
While I reserve the right to enter the contest, I will not be eligible to win since I will be the judge for the contest.
Good luck to all!

Re: LCC - Garheim Official Faction Thread *GC V Now Live!*
Here's a quick general question:
Could I start on a guild because with the 6 points from my GC entry I would have 18 (ranking me up to citizen), although only the prior 12 points are listed on the first page of this thread?
