Lenny is a loser

Post by SavaTheAggie »

You heard me right, bring it.

Lenny, you loser among losers.

Thanks to you, I've gone and done something drastic.

I've upgraded Castle Halcyon to have sloped battlements.

I hope you're happy. Loser.

Other things going on around here

I'm back in Houston (that's pronounced 'ewe-ston' to all you yankies). I have been reunited with my collection. I'm having a little problem with my Internet connection, so I may not be around CC as often as I'd probably like until we get it fixed.

But before I began playing again, I thought I'd take some pictures (and of course share them so that I might brag) of all the loot I was able to add to my personal collection whilest in Texarkana.

So without further ado:

Image

Futher pictures:

Pic 3
Pic 4
Pic 5

Everything in those pictures was obtained either through my own money (which I have/had very little), or directly from funds earned through my bricklink shop. The only exception is that large 48x48 light grey baseplate, which I already had, and only used to mount those tiles for brasso-ing.

I have since learned that while Brasso will not harm LEGO bricks (and tiles), it will damage baseplates. Apparently they're made of a softer/different plastic. I am not happy, but the baseplate is mostly only discolored, and still can be used if 100% coverage is involved.

A few things to note about my loot: No new colors, over 1000 2x2 light grey bricks, almost 1000 1x2 light grey bricks, 2 red classic visors (one bent, but perhaps fixable), hockey armor.

And speaking of the hockey armor, while I was brasso-ing tiles, I also brasso-ed the hockey armor. I specifically bought this armor for my #375 knights, as I thought the smoothness of the armor would match well with the #375 visors. I think I was right, but let me know what you think.

In the mean time, may I present perhaps the very first fully white knight in LEGO history (and his black knight counterpart):

Ahh... it's good to be back.

Hey, welcome back.
I like the sloped battlements.

The hockey "armor" looks really good with your knights.
What exactly is brasso, and how does it work?

I was wondering when someone would get around to using tha hockey armor on their knights. As for being the first fully white knight, shouldn't he have a white sword and shield, too? (I know, TLC never made a white sword, right?) And the black guy should probably have a black katana, too (Yes, I realise that his sword is supposed to be teal, but still...)
Nevertheless, very awesome. I think that the sloped battlements look really good, are you going to slope the 2x2s over the windows and the brick roof ridges as well? That could be pretty sweet.

Since I'm apparently out of the loop, what did Lenny do to you?

I like the white knight. :D

So when will we see your new castle, you know, the one you bought the bricks for? A nice addition to your collection.

I like the look of the slopes on castle Halcyon.

Sorry if this is a stupid question...

Where did the blueish ninja sword come from, I've never seen it before but I've just noticed two in people's brickshelf folders today.

This Katana comes from the 8509 Roboraider "Swamp"

Hey, Sava, why don't you use this parts for your Withe Knight:

Look good. As for a white sword, didn't someone (TTK?) say that the chromed sword is "milky white" underneath when you rub the chrome off?

Nice to see that old castle still around! Looks even better than before!

Those custom figs are great too.

Before you take down Halcyon II why not have your sigfig give a nice guided tour, I'd love that!

Oh yes I can!!

... it just wouldn't be true.

As to the questions about when the new castle will rear its head-

There are a few conditions that must be met before groundbreaking can take place:
  1. Finish picking up and sorting LEGO around my build room.
  2. Finish Chapter 9 of Chaos Skies. Chapter 9 takes place at Halcyon Castle, so I'll need it for the appropriate backdrop.
  3. Destroy Halcyon Castle and reclaim the parts.
  4. Build a specific (to be made public later) diorama MOC for Chapter 10 (optional if I choose not to feature the new castle in my story).
  5. Take pictures of said diorama MOC (if built before construction of the new castle).
  6. Take apart said diorama MOC and reclaim the parts (if built before construction of the new castle).
  7. Finish and photograph the Temple of Formeathan MOC.
  8. Take pictures of the Temple for Chapter 11 (can be done before Chapter 10 (and the diorama MOC) if I go that route)
  9. Destroy the Temple of Formeathan and reclaim the parts
Then and only then can I begin work on the new castle. It seems like a lot and, well, it is. But it has to be done. I just don't have the parts nor the build space unless those MOCs get disassembled.

Only in LUGNET.space (and Classic-Space Forums) is it smack. This is friendly banter!

Each improvement makes Halcyon better and better, Tony! I can't wait to see it featured in Ikros! :D
