KKII Swords

Post by Maedhros »

I had been gluing Wood Elf Glade Guards for far too long when my eyes suddenly fell upon an ugly KKII sword. Why not? I thought and did some modifications :D

This has probably been done quite a few times before but I thought I´d post it anyways.

Ah, you cut off the side guards and inverted them. I'll have to try this sometime. Great Job.

I did the same thing when I got my first KK2 set.. haha.

The sword is still way too .. bulky. I'm still trying to figure out a way to fix that. I've considered sanding down part of the guard (the part that lays over the base of the blade) and then shaving down the blade some. Then I'd probably snip the grip a bit and re-pin the pommel closer to the hand.

Hmm.. we'll see.

Looks a lot better than the old version. What did you use to cut it?

Just a hobby knife. I should have been a bit more ambitious and tried something else but I was tired and had breathed too much glue :P

Here are some other ideas you could try

Those are some good mods on that sword! Love the naginata style. Is that your folder?

No.....

But I´ve tried most of it myself as well. Not the naginata though. But I have other versions of naginatas.

I cut off the ESAs* to make viking longswords. :) I think Ive seen it before, but Sword Catchers are better than ESAs anyday.

*ESA is the opposite to sword catcher, aka Enemy Strike Amplifier. Theyre usually used in morcian military to increase the power of an enemy attack sliding down the ESA. Apparently the morcian military is completely unaware of this and blames tradition. Vikings usually use these to come to Valhalla earlier.

Would point out that you did a pretty good job Maedhros in joining the pieces back together. A little fine sanding and you wouldn't notice.

The Brickshelf folder is mine. I have since done at least one more KK2 sword mod. Will have to update the folder. Will post here when I do.

Oh, I see, holding out on us, eh Ramus?

I'd love to see some more mods, I've got quite a few of these swords.

ESA...LOL! :D
Those mods are great, they look better than the original (by a long shot).
I tried modding kk2 swords, and ruined the best coloured (but still bad-coloured) gold one :(

Thanks :)
I wasn´t too serious when I did it but maybe I´ll try to make it a bit better someday...

Yes, this is not the place to discuss warhammer though...
