On The Moon...

This is a small diaroma of some space explorers discovering a mysterious object of unknown power on the face of an otherwise desolate planet. (ala 2001 or Star Trek)

I really like the crater you've made. It is very much like 2001, I can't say I've seen any Star Trek episodes. I think if you changed it to the famous monolith from 2001, it'd be a better scene.
Good work.

Hey,

I agree with Lil Jon. The landscaping (moonscaping?) is fabulous. The object in the middle is less interesting. Perhaps if you changed it to a simple monolith it would improve the scene.

Nice Classic Space aesthetic. The crater is wonderful! But I agree with lil Jon and Bruce. I'm not sure a plain monolith is the way to go (unless you also changed the minifigs to look like 2001 characters), but I'm not completely sold on this particular mysterious object.

A mysterious object is supposed to look like a mysterious object, and if it's created by an alien culture, humans would have no chance on conceiving it in any aspect. Therefore, it's odd shape and no apparent purpose adds to the impression of mystery, hidden power and an air of purpose. Also, the ‘moonscaping’ is wonderful; it is very successful in replicating a crater. Excellent work!

I too, not to be redundant, like the crater. That must have taken a good deal of time and a lot of grey bricks.

I'm also not real fond of the structure thing. Maybe you could scrap that and make it into a moonbuggy race or something... Or if you have your heart set on an Arthur C. Clarke type story, what about "A Fall of Moondust?"

You could have the mooncraft starting to sink into the moondust. Pretty good story, if you've never read it.
