More Impulse sets!
More Impulse sets!
Dear Lego,
We are all excited about the new impulse sets, especially the knight and magician, but I think we need more variety.
The dwarves from the new set 7036 should be given their own individual impulse sets along with the green goblin figs (whatever they are called).
If Lego decides to do this, I promise to buy at least 100 dwarf impulse sets and I'm sure others would do the same, for the desire to build large dwarf armies is too good to pass up!
What do you guys think? Do dwarf armies seem appealing to you?

Re: More Impulse sets!
I probably wouldn't buy 100 (more likely in the 1 range, maybe 2 if the dwarf one had a good beard), but I think it would be a good idea.Jacob C. wrote:Dear Lego,

I'd definitely buy a lot
dwarf armies!

Dwarven armies? But of course! What better warriors to do battle with the "Orcs" under the mountains deep in the mines of the world. One of the top ten inspirations to build was reading/viewing about Khazad-dum in LOTR. Now if they could make the beards fit with more helms then it would be easier to have massive armies. I think I'd have to buy quite a few sets but then we would need a way to build orc armies as well for balance.

More impulse sets would be really cool, but I suspect that they'll just do one dwarf if they do so, which means you'd have a clone army. I'd rather see a set with a really high fig-to-rest-of-the-set ratio in the tradition of of 7020 that gave you the chance to get the total run of viking figs without having to get the biggest sets.

Here, Here! I doubt they will do that though since I don't think castle isn't one of the Lego company's big sellers. Since it's aimed towards kids they probably want fictional stuff like Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Exo-force. So it appears as though we will have to wait for the chess set to go on sale to build up our massive armies. Would be great if they did do it though!!Escape The Fate wrote:I would prefer a castle styled battle packs, similar to starwars, with a bunch of figures.

I'd really like to see an Impulse set with one of the new goblin minifigs. I can see them becoming a popular faction. It could include a goblin with a helmet, sword, shield, torch, and flag. Maybe a skull too.

I tend to agree with Bruce on this issue - sets with high fig counts can sometimes make for a better army in the end.
Still, if they were to release goblin fig impulse sets, I would indeed be quite pleased and buy many of them - I'd like to build up a nice horde for myself, with some of those ogres (trolls) as well.
I am really tempted to see what happens next year in terms of sets & figs.
