LEGO Store "After X-mas" sale

Post by einsteinonthebeach »

Just wanted everyone to know that LEGO stores will be having a big sale after Christmas. The sale helps us clear out older sets to make way for the 2009 sets in January.

I'm not sure if the sale items will be the same for each store, but I did read that the Mall of America store will have the following Castle items approx. 30% off:

-Skeleton Tower
-Troll Warrior
-Knight
-Skeleton Carriage

I also remember seeing a couple of Star Wars sets on the list, as well as most of the Mars Mission sets.

do you know if this is a nation-wide promotion? or just for one specific store?

I would assume it is nation-wide. I just saw the email listing what sets we are going to put on sale tomorrow. I bet other LEGO stores are going off the same list.

Hmm. S@H doesn't have the Troll Warrior or The Knight on sale, but the Troll Battle Wheel and Crossbow Attack (which I think is a steal of a deal!).

In Sacramento, they had the Space Skulls and Star Justice sets for $34.99. They also had the Boeing plane and the creator T-rex thing for some discount (I don't remember how much). Some of the Star Wars minikit keychains were also marked down. And the Republic Cruiser was $62.99.

I picked up the Sith Infiltrator for $20, as well as the new Republic ship with Mace Windu. In all, I walked out with five sets total--I'm so ashamed (and ecstatic).

Yeah, that's what Username said above. He referred to the LEGO online store as S@H, which stands for Shop at Home, the LEGO online store name. Too bad I don't care much for the Troll Battle Wheel. And I don't really need another Crossbow Attack, though $4.19 is a good deal for it.

When I went earlier today, the LEGO Store at Potomac Mills in Woodbridge, VA still had Skelton Tower, Prisoner Carriage, Battle Wheel, and tons of troll impulse sets in stock at the previously mentioned prices.

Not to mention a huge pile of Space Skulls for $34.99.

They didn't have MMV yet though.
