Holy moons over Miami, Batman!

Post by SavaTheAggie »

What what WHAT??

Anthony has actually made a what??

An original design? Without any sort of tracing or anything?

Something totally out of his imagination?

I won't believe it till I see it!

Believe it!

This is a new faction I have created for the new Octagon Shield article, much like I did with the Order of the Phoenix from the KK2 article. I call them the Elves of the High Moon (working title). I'll probably create one or two more shields for them (Oval and Triangular) but I don't know if I'll do a torso or not. They're also available in green.

I'm interested hearing in what you guys think of it, feel free to tell me, good or bad.

Awesome. Great improvement from the original, as well. (Ha, most of you didn't see the original, ha) I like the border, and the moons. Especially the moons. This faction could fight the Wolfpack ;)

As an Elf faction I think the green one is the better choice (though blue is my favourite colour). Very well done, and I can't even make out the tracing lines.....

Oops! Missed the green in my first read-through. Too much work in my veins, not enough supper!

I have to say that I like the green one and blue one equally. And I (that is Me) (or myself!) think that the blue one is more elvish! :P

Funny, when reading your articles the other day, I was just thinking to myself maybe it's time for o'doc Sava to quit tracing stuffs and try his hand on something original. And voila!! That's it!! This is the final proof I need that I've the potential to be a prophet indeed!! [meditate] And the lottery number for this week is....

No, seriously :D Great work!! Now all you need is a torso to go with it :D

I thought about Night Elves first, but that's a name that's already been used in the game 'Warcraft III', which I have to admit is where I got the inspiration for the blue color scheme. So while Night Elves, I think, is the best gall dern name to use, I think I better not :(

In any case, I've successfully (I hope) created both triangular and oval shield versions of the design, as well as a torso to go with it (both in blue and green). Of the few people I've shown it to, I've recieved requests for other torsos, now, civilian and otherwise. Looks like I've created a popular faction, and I haven't even made it fully public! I guess time will tell.

Oh yes.

Would civillian torsos be like light blue jedi knight torsos? Or are you on a roll with your whole "making your own" thing?...

I've created two versions of the same design in two colors (meaning 4 torsos total) for male civilian elves. I used the jedi knight torso to begin with, but then I edited it heavily and added quite a few extras. I'm very tempted to post a picture, but I don't know, I should probably save them until post the article... but it seems a shame to bury them in the article without announcing them seperately.
