Griffon's Castle

Well, it's been a while since i've posted here. Been very busy building a castle, rebuild after rebuild i've come up with this castle:

I'm still building on it but the gatehouse is how i want it, only the back of the castle is due to be rebuild.

Curious what you think off it, i know it's not a big castle but this is about all the grey i have

Hey that's cool, it looks like a well upgraded 6080, which is one of my favourite Lego castles of all time. I like what you did to the corners, rounding them off, as well as the towers, they were a bit square on the original one, and I like this version better.
Those cross-shaped arrow slits and row of 1x1 plates under the arches of the gatehouse make some nice details too. I can't wait to see the rest of it when you finish the back

Nice work! It looks very legoesque. I like the cross-shaped arrow slits and the detail with the 1x1s on the gatehouse arch.

This MOC is very similar to "king's castle" and that brings back a lot of memories. The playability of classic sets was amazing, so the concept of modifying the value of a premade set is always interesting to me. I like your version for it's gate area/gate house. Seeing your MOC i think i may have been inspired to create a variety of set based MOCs instead of using all bricks for one project. Anyway, good recreation, nicely done...

Some nice improvements. I like how you have raised the merlons of the crenelation without raising the crenels higher. This is something that is hard to get right without a good grip of how they function. If one has the opening between the merlons too high it'd make looking and shooting out from them impossible and therefore useless.

I like how you added a postern gate and upgraded the towers. The only change that might make more sense to me is moving the roof inside the courtyard of the one tower and having the crenelated roof facing outward... unless it is to give more focus to the inner gate than the outer wall beside hte tower there.

I like your castle, very old fashionned

but even it look classical, you had a lot of great details in there. I like the door, with his portcullis, and the embrasure is great too !

I've made some improvements on the castle. I think i solved that thing what you are saying (if i have understand that what you're saying correctly

looks pretty cool, rebuilds of offical sets are always fun. The embelishments to the gatehouse came out really nice, and I also liked how this is sort of a combination of kings castle and black monarch's castle.

I have totaly changed everything underneith the bigger tower (the one with the cross

). The prison is positioned there and i had used the standard black prisondoor for that but not anymore, i've made my own prisondoor so that it fits better and so that i could lower the ceiling. Those standard doors are too high. Another benefit is that there is more room now because it was a big prison with the standard door (almost everything under the tower was prison) and most of all it looks better

.
Next to this i've made a balcony next to this tower and i finished off the inner walls. I do not have pictures yet but they will follow soon
