Guess How Many, Too!

Post by SavaTheAggie »

How many bricks are in this pitcher?

Image

Take a guess!

I'm twisting things up a little bit this time, and making it a little bit more difficult. This time we have four different colors of bricks, and many different sizes of bricks as well!

Hint:

There are no plates or non standard 'basic' bricks in this container.

RULES:

1. Only one guess per person. (feel free to discuss your strategies and theories as often as you'd like)
2. Guess a number that is the closest to the actual number and win!
3. The contest will run till Sunday, July 18th (C-C server time).

Prizes

1. Crushing your enemies, seeing them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of the women.
2. The personal pride and satisfaction of being a superior guesser to everyone else.
3. The envy and loathing of everyone else.
4. You get to touch Freak's monkey.
5. The special forum title of 'Master Mason' for one month.

But wait, there's more!

This time you have a chance to win an actual, physical prize! ...such as it is.

Along with your guess as to the actual total number, you can guess how many bricks of each color there are.

Blue..........?
Red...........?
Yellow.......?
White........?

If you guess within 10 bricks (higher or lower) of the actual number for all four colors, you'll win a handfull of bricks!

Image

This pile of brick contains 10 bricks each of white 1x1s, 1x2s, 1x3s, and 1x4s. Winner is responsible for paying for shipping if over $2.

The person who wins these bricks will not necessarily be the same person who wins the forum title.

In case of two people coming within 10 bricks of each color, the person with a total number guess closer to the actual number will win the bricks.

If no one wins these bricks this time around, they'll be carried over for next time, and be added to any actual prize offered for that contest.

Have fun!

I mean you get to touch his monkey, silly!

It's just a joke, besides, how could you touch his monkey unless you lived within visiting distance?

Isn't touching Freak's monkey dangerous without his permission? I mean, that thing is his lifeline to sanity (such as it is). I hope he is okay with this. (Monkeyslaughter may get you a decade in jail, but that's no consolation to the monkeyslaughtered  )

Be that as it may, here are my guesses:

303 blue
150 red
130 yellow
141 white

Total: 824

And if I'm wrong, its all your fault! :D

My guesses:

White:128
Red:77
Blue:53
Yellow:58

Total 316.

Now. About my monkey. No one was giving anyone permission for some strange lego super guesser to come waltzing in and touch my monkey....

well...

Ok you can touch my monkey. :D

(But be nice. He is an old monkey and prone to fits of poo flinging.)

Let's just say 350 total.

120 white
80 red
75 yellow
75 blue

I never was too good at guessing these sorts of things though.
