New backpack

Post by Bruce N H »

Hey all,

I hadn't seen this before today, but set 7286, Prisoner Transport (a town set due out in January 2011, but already on the shelves in some areas) has a new backpack element, very reminiscent of the old peasant backpack/basket.

Image

Another very interesting new element I was unaware of is this 1x4 plate/tile with 2 studs.

Honestly, I think these two peices don't even look like Lego pieces. They just look so weird.

That tilate/plile is pretty rad. The sack looks kinda wonky though.
...and that's how Equestria was made!

I dunno... I think somebody with a hundred of them would come up with some pretty innovative uses.

I like the backpack, but like the older design more. This new one looks like things (carrots, for example) would be constantly falling out of it.

Oh, interesting. If I'd known, I'd have bought one of these this morning, as my TRU just got them in.

I can easily see that 1 x 4 piece being used for fences and railroad stock cars, moreso if the piece was 1 x 6 with a single stud at each end.

Oooooh, those are interesting. I also read a review of the creator cabin set and it contains a 16x16 plate (not a baseplate) in green. Talk about uuber useful.

I hope it doesn't take long to get that plile in more colours than white.

Trust me, I think I'm funnier than you do.
Why do I have to add the word "minifig" to my spell checker every time I use it?!

I saw an image of that cabin set. It appeared to be bright green, but I may have been mistaken.
