Mt. Bricktop (99% complete)

Post by Sir_Darc »

I apologise in advance for the quality of the pictures. It was midnight and I couldn't get enough light on the MOC.

So this is what I'm bringing to Brickcon. It's a mountain.

With a little village over here:

And a small infestation of dwarves.

I'm not yet happy with the placement of figures, and there's a few things still to be added at the 'Con, but I think it's time to start showing it. Any suggestions for improvement would be great, Thanks!

WOW
That is a stunning MOC, I really like the lava idea and you carried it out very well. All your landscaping looks great, I especially like the snow on top of the mountain. The castle is well done too, it reminds me of a fairytale castle.
Great work, and I can't imagine the time and pieces you put into this.

How does one even move such a monstrosity? That thing must weigh over 100 lbs.

(PS, not sure how realistic it is to have people walking on lava, unless your intent was for it to be some version of the underworld or something... )

It's a secret! (Actually, it's hollow. Has a framework of technic beams to support it.) Still, it probably weighs a lot. I'll find out when I pack it up.

There's cold lava and hot lava (The lighted pool at the bottom).

Thanks for the comments! I'll get better pictures at Brickcon, I hope. (The lighting should be much better.) Hope to see some of you there!

I was impressed by the WIP pics (Haha, everyone! I saw them two weeks ago. ;)) but this is far better than I was visualizing. Nicely played! Can't wait to see it set up in the middle of the co-op layout.

What that what?? That thing is incredible!! I absolutely love the lava and the forest. I love the way you incorporated dwarves, forestmen and human knights/soldiers into one display. That is remarkable.
