Lego sleep habits

Post by eNiGMa »

So last night I dreamed I was a minifig (a town fig, unfortunately  ), and near the end of my dream, there were so many stickers on me that I couldn't move. This led to a thought when I got up this morning, which ended in this post.

So, do you dream about Lego, dream you ARE Lego, or not dream about Lego at all? After you vote, feel free to share how often you actually do dream about Lego, experiences you've had with this "phenomenon," etc.

Have fun!

Well now that you mention it I do remember about LEGO in a nightmare once. Whatever else I say will drive you people insane though.

When I was younger I used to dream about building Lego, then I would wake up and be sad because the pieces were gone... I also used to dream about running down slides and jumping backward out of swings at the park...

I seriously can't remember ever dreaming of Lego. I have lain in bed all night thinking about a MOC. However, I did have a really freaky nightmare about the Jolly Green Giant once.....

Prepare to delve deep into my psyche...

When I was a kid I had this recurring dream. It could be about any toy- Micro Machines, GI Joes, but mostly about LEGO. There would be this flood sweeping through the town, and as it receded it filled the cafe-like building I was apparently living in with hundreds of sets. I also dreamt of finding a secret waterfall behind a dam on the Blanco River. A leprechan lived there and told me I could take all the toys I wanted from the giant piles in the room, as long as I could fit them in a shopping cart. I really had to go to the bathroom after waking up from those. Recently I had a dream where TLC rereleased the Black Knights series, and only I knew about it because they were all in plain black and white boxes marked "TOYS." Weird.

I have had the odd dream about Lego. I think once I was a fig, but I can't remember it. Most of them though, are about finding the hidden jackpot of Lego sets. They usually start with me wandering around a store, entering the Lego section and finding dozens of sets that aren't avaliable. Some as old as twenty years ago. Of coures, I always wake up before I can buy them. And when I browse through the treasure trove, there is always the lingering thought in my subconscience that I won't have enough money for all.

You forgot to add "I dream about LEGO and I dream that I am LEGO"

Most of the time, I dream that I've found a huge amount of LEGO, usually Classic Castle, and all the sets are going for $1 each, or something like that. Then I buy them all, and are sorting through ten black swords when *poof* I'm awake, dissapointed and disgruntled.

Other times I dream I'm a LEGO fig, almost always my castle sigfig (the recent explosion of MOC featuring my sigfig has increased this type of dream). I walk about my room, meeting with other Classic-Castle member sigfigs, and, er....Ginny. And let's just leave it at that. :D

Hey guys!

I had a dream where aliens had turned all Lego in the Earth alive. So republic gunships became fully fuctional, and minifig guns could actully shoot.

The humans stood no chance, the elite jet pack clone troopers would swoop in and place lego bombs on their faces. Hmm, a little violent.

I woke up when Lego star destroyers started attacking the white house. Probally the strangest dream I've ever had.

It was kinda cool and scary. :?

When I saw the topic, I thought it was going to be about loosing sleep over LEGO. Which in my case, sometimes I end up staying up all night just to finish something.

But, I always dream about finding new sets that I didn't know existed like at the toy store.

I once dreamt about getting Halo LEGO, but alas I woke up. I voted for don't dream of LEGO, though, as this was the only time.

Dream of it sometimes. Most of the time I dream of being one of my characters or an arabic kid. :?

I dreamed that everything was in lego once... Very freaky. I was myself a gummybear running for my life, hunted by a hungry kid... Luckily the minifigs and their contraptions helped me.

I may also mention a fantastic dream... I dreamed I were in a hardware store and were looking around when I suddenly saw old space sets. I dont buy space sets but they had one of those beautiful old giant space trucks and they are so nifty I just had to have one... I had no money so I walked home to get my wallet... And when I came back they had a new shelf, filled with castle-only sets... Some of them were prototypes of never seen before factions, versions of old sets etc, others were accessory packs with old round shields only, KK2 fig bags for 3kr each... The most expensive set was 200(its very low). The sets had price based on set design the shop owner said.

I know what you mean.

I do dream about Lego sometimes, but I don't realy dream much at all. But I just had one recently about getting enough Lego to make the entire world of my story out of Lego, as in building minifig scale mountains. And I also did the sky out of light blue bricks, and the sun out of yellow, orange, and red. I even did a mountain so big, that Ulmaris(sp?) Castle could fit on top, as a mountain fortress.

me and my friend matthew have both dreamed we were figs, sometimes in a giant brikwars battle where i was a champion, and sometimes just exploring, and using things things that haven't been made yet, like grenades.
i've also dreamed that i went to a secret place that had every lego part made in copious quantities, and making huge mocs, and then i'd wake up and feel depressed.

Whenever I dream about Lego it usually involves an excellent sale. Normally at a yard sale, when the seller has lots of nice sets. Unfortunately, I always wake up, and it hasn't happened. sigh
