Thanks for the great link. I don't know, maybe these will grow on me. The colors are awfully bright. I'll have to see them up close and personal.

The sword looks a little like Thundar the Barbarian's sword for those of you old enough to remember

I'm afraid I have to say something...

Big surprise I know

Anyway, I like the red and green knights. The printing doesn't ruin them as bad as I expected. That's pretty much all the good I have to say.

The blue and purple knights are terrible, all the shields are junk, the swords... horrible. after the sets are out for a while. I'll bet the new swords and shields will be selling in the 10 cents range on Bricklink. Really terrible, almost a mockery of the castle line of old.

Thanks for the big pics. Really helped me decide on my purchasing budget.

As usual, whenever I post something, somebody else posts it and says "I don't know if this has been posted before..."

Anyway, the new swords, visors, and set designs suck. Everything else is okay, but I'll be waiting for sales before I buy.

Upon closer examination (nice pictures :D ) I think there are definetly some good parts here. I think the red and green armor might look good on diferent figs without the power ranger helmets. The shields I don't like. The swords I don't like. Thundar the Barbarian all the way. The Black helmet is pretty cool, and the horse helmets are nice. If that is Black Armor with Leg protection I would like several of those :D

On a sad, but perhaps telling, note my 5 year old son thinks the sets are all very cool. Kids, you try so hard to raise them right.

That made me laugh.

I don't know...the red, black and green armour may not be so bad after all. I'm just really glad it's regular red and not dark red.

Trust me, I think I'm funnier than you do.
Why do I have to add the word "minifig" to my spell checker every time I use it?!

The breastplates look great.

Green is perfect for the Forestmen, Wolfpack, Snake and Bull clans.

Red will be used for the evil soldiers from the North.

Purple will be used for the guards of the strange Purple Wizards...

Light Blue? Well, nothing is perfect.... But it does match the light blue shields. It's some mythical metal.

So, the Jelly Beans may have some redeeming qualities :?

The black will work, red is OK. My kids like green and purple so that settles those (I'll have to keep one Green Knight to go with my Sir Gawain), light blue is another issue...

Now sheilds will go nicely with my Roman army, and those black helmets are closer than ever before to Hoplite helmets. My Greeks would look less Macedonian then.

BTW, is that 'printing' on those euro armors?

Awful, disgusting. Oh, when will LEGO learn. This stuff makes me want to cry. The only redeeming factor is the interesting armour, and the executioner helmet. Everything else is pure crap.

Ninjarangers are perfect for rub n' buffing, but rememebr, you have to shell out atleast 8 dollars for one. im never gonna have enough of those for my Romans, im sticking with the 2x2 round discs (and gold ovoid for the centurion).

By the way, Anthony or LF, just a few stickers, would be greatly appreciated, just a forestman, BF, crusader, and Black knight, maybe. We'd all love it :)
and new light grey doesn't look too bad.

Yuck. :(

I hope TLC just makes some *normal* coloured Euro armour... (And let's not open the whole new-dark-grey Euro armour can-of-worms)
