Quality Control

Post by Sir Nelson »

Dear LEGO:

I managed to snag a 4496 tub (the 50th Anniversary one) a few days ago. Having some extra time on my hands, I decided to count the number of bricks therein, just to determine the quality control of TLG.

Anyway, this set advertises having 1000 pieces. I counted every single one, and figured that I may have 1 or 2 (more or less) than advertised...

... and I counted EXACTLY 1000 pieces!! 8)

Thank you, LEGO! Keep up the great work!!! :D

P.S. I've had very few problems with missing pieces in other sets in the past, but TLG's consumer affairs department has always come through! It's just nice to see such excellent quality control when opening a new set!

I'm not surprised about that. LEGO have always been about quality, and though some may occassionally complain about this and that, TLG is a company that is setting a standard in the toy business regarding quality. RESPECT!

Thank goodness for a positive post. I was bracing myself for a whiny post complaining how TLC's quality control is shot straight to Megablocks, etc, etc.

I, personally, have never, ever had issues with sets. TLC's quality control has been amazing compared to other toy companies.

GO LEGO! :D

Heh...I was just sharpening my sword there.

Yes, I agree with you guys - I got Battle At The Pass a few days ago, and I was astounded at how excellent it was - the armour, the colours, the gates - it was all brilliant, and at a great price too. I'm having trouble finding problems with this set. It was like being a child at Christmas opening a Classic set all over again.

So all in all Lego, you have done some fantastic work last and this year. We've come a long way from the depression and lethargy of 2004. We're in good times now, all thanks to you guys.

Yeah, being the "LEGO Guy" my friend wanted me to help his little brother put a megablox set together. When I opened the box half the peices were missing and I was like "buy LEGO or buy nothing at all"

Go LEGO!
