Three more CCCIV entries.

Post by Lamanda2 »

I just got three more of my entries uploaded and ready to go, so here they are:

2nd entry- Yellow Tower

This MOC will be able to hook onto sections of wall I have been created, so that when I finish enough of my MOCs, I can piece them all together to form a walled city. :)
I had fun editing the larger picture to look like an old, worn-out box. :P

3rd entry- Market Stand
Image

I just made this last night, it's my first go at a small market MOC. I hope to make myself a couple more stands to add to my city.

4th entry- Ruins

Another MOC I made last night. This one is very simple, but I have been wanting to show off that big skeleton idea for some idea. Thanks to my brother, Jake for helping me make the skeleton.

`Link to full CCCIV gallery.

Comments are always welcomed. Please tell me what you think. :)

EDIT- While entering my Market Stand I accidentally put it in the Battle scene catagory. I am sorry, but i'm not sure how I can correct this error.

I like the mixture of new pieces and a very classic style. This works best in the brown trees beside the yellow castle tower. Very nice work!

Fantastic! I love that tower, it has a great classic feel(probably because it is yellow). The goblin attackers add to the feel of... awesomeness. The market is also very classic looking, and the shine on the glass adds some "sha-bang". That skeleton is strange, yet awesome- if you added a top hat, it could be Abe Lincoln! I don't trust that knight back there, I think hes up to something- like stealing that sword. The box thing is a really good idea, it adds an even classic..er feel to the MOCs. Once again, great job Amanda.

Greeat work! My fav would have to be the market stand with all those goodies (goblets, etc). That would be a fantastic set! I like the sword stuck in the skeleton in the castle ruins MOC too. Fantastic use of a small amount of pieces, great details & a true LEGO set feel. Well done

Norro- Thanks, that's nice to hear from such a great builder! :)

Pac- Glad you like them. I agree on the strange awesomeness of the giant's skeleton. Perhaps the knight is looking to steal the sword, but who could blame him? It's free! :P

DARKspawn- Thank you, the market stand is my favorite of the bunch as well, it was the one that seemed most set-like to me.

Thank you all for your comments, they are definately appreciated. :D

These are really fantastic, Amanda. My favorite's the one with the skeleton, followed by the tower. The market is also neat. I like all of your tree designs.

The skeleton seems like it could be the remains of a Brickfas or some other kind of giant.

The roof of the yellow tower reminds me of the roof of Coit Tower in San Francisco, because of the sort of gutter-y thing... Anyway, it's great.

P.S. You might get a job as a LEGO set designer in the future. I'm sure that many many people would buy these.

If only these were available from LEGO. Great job again Amanda, I love the boxes. Very nostalgic for us aged members

Very nice MOCs. They all look good, but I like the first one best, because it is modular. Also, nice work on the worn box effect.

Daggerblood- Thanks. It's cool to be recognized! :)

DS9- Thanks for the comment, I am glad you think it looks 'old style'-It's just the look I was going for!

Smcginnis- Thank you very much for the wonderful comments. Being a Lego designer would be great, I think every Lego fan has always dreamed of having the job. Sadly the odds of getting such a cool job would most likely be against me. ('Coarse that doesn't mean I still can't have my dreams mind you! )

Blue Knight- Glad you like the boxes, they are fun to do, plus they make the MOC look 'complete'. :)

Kelderic- I had fun making the 'old box' image, just the other day I downloaded 'The Gimp', it's pretty much a free photoshop program and it works great!

Tomorrow I am going to get to work on some other MOCs. It will be cool when I make enough stuff to assemble my own Lego castle city, it's quite a large plan, but in the end I think it will be worth it. (If I ever do complete it, I don't think I could ever have the heart to take it apart! :P )

Well, I noticed I forgot to set the catagory a hair to late and then I could not change it. I did note this in my original post:

EDIT- While entering my Market Stand I accidentally put it in the Battle scene catagory. I am sorry, but i'm not sure how I can correct this error.

But since you say it's in the catagorie now, I will have to contact an Admin & see if I can get it moved.
Thanks for letting me know.
