Speaking as an 'outsider' in the race: Will the winning submission be put in the Captioning Archives any time soon?

Yes. Because I was so late in getting the voting started for Picture Captioning #2 (speaking of which... *cough #3*), the voting ran passed the date when I posted the #3 caption. Because of that, I was unable to post the winner on the page at that time, and I haven't gotten around to doing it yet. Don't worry, it hasn't been forgotten.
Because the voting is closed already, you can see who won the vote by simply visiting that thread in the story section.

I've found the poll at http://classic-castle.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=882, and I agree it was the best submission. Thank you.

I'm reading through the admin forum for my first time, so please forgive my late reply. (until recently, I thought that only admins could go in here)
Anyway, thank you! That is my first picture caption submission, and it's the only one of mine that even made it into the voting stage. I am glad that it won, for I thought it was incredibly clever.
I saw that you won a couple of them, so congrats on that. Maybe I'll write one I like again someday.
