@Justin M -- Thank you.
@AK -- Oh man. Maybe. I'll get back to you on that one.

The Blitz'ard -- Mosaic
I haven't built anything very castle-y for awhile, but I made a castle-y sort of divining room for the Urtican Blitz'ard . Here's a model of the bear casting bones to divine the future: http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8504/8383574141_6ac740488f_n.jpg We live on.... by eilonwy77 , on Flickr What I real...

Re: The Blitz-ard! - The Walls of Arkursa
I love this photo, with the superb editing. But in the other photo, more well-lit, those walls look really menacing and formidable. They were nicely done.

Re: The Road goes ever on and on
Wait, what?? Where are my smelling salts?
Anyway, this is really nice. The lighting really makes it look great. The backdrop is very reminiscent of looming mountains, and I find the openness of the path with the single figure on it quite appealing. Good luck in the MEL Olympics.

Re: Rampant speculation on -?-
I think that the bandwagon that was meant to be jumped on is not decapitating bears. That was just a fun idea for this project. The part that was intended to catch on was the idea of surprise group collaborations. It was fun to plan, and hopefully a bit fun to see from the outside. I am not personal...

Re: CCC X - Diego and the Multi-Colored Tunnel of Doom.
Truth be told, we're pretty much out of the Dora stage, too. But -- you never know when a random Dora or Diego figure might come in handy. There are no bad LEGO pieces, right? I'm sure we can fit Boots and Winnie the Pooh into a castle build somehow!

Re: CCC X - Diego and the Multi-Colored Tunnel of Doom.
Well, since Diego is the animal expert, I'm sure he'll be fine.
I'm glad I'm not the only one with way too many Dora and Diego figures. --- Though now that I look it isn't even really Diego. So -- you want me to send you some?

Re: CCCX Cross-Category Awards
Well, now that you've got DUPLO and Friends categories, maybe I'll have to re-assess my "no contests" rule. Of course, to do that I would actually have to build something... And I just got my collection all perfectly sorted! After taking two months to sort, how can I ever bear to mess it u...

Re: LEGO Adventure Book, Volume 1
But of course!
Of course, if I had known that the squished hedgehog was going to be in the book, I would have built it a better model. But it was a rush job for a contest. I guess the book really needed a squished hedgehog, though.

Re: LEGO Adventure Book, Volume 1
Indeed, I've been told that there will be sequels. I'm eagerly (impatiently) awaiting my copy. My primary model is Friends, and not Castle, but some of my Castle-y stuff will be at the end of my chapter, such as the courtyard which was posted here awhile back. And also a squished hedgehog. Because e...

That's wild. I could look at it for a long time and keep finding new things to admire and wonder about.

Re: Trees + Wall + Floor
Thank you for your nice comments! Ooh, I have a hexagon that I'm having trouble covering with floor. This might be the solution. (1984 round pieces to cover the whole floor, I need to be more clever than that) Ha ha ha, yes.... I can think of a few easier ways to make a hexagonal shape. These circle...
