fond memories

sweet job! you captured that scene perfectly... I have fond memories of the original DotC.

I get my nostalgia fix with the flash version from time to time:

Here's a scene from an old classic.

Actual game play scene.

I attempted to mimic the lighting as well.

Clear pic.

I sense an idea for a contest: Best Lego rendition of a selection of scenes - from movies, books, video games, etc.

Nicely done.

I agree with fox. You did an excellent job capturing the scene. It would be interesting to see you try and do a larger battle on this.

Simple yet awesome. Dont know what DOTC is but the interior inspires me to do one.

It's an old game that I used to spend way to much time on when I was younger. :) It's actually pretty cool (I haven't played any versions past the Nintendo version) - you raise troops, lay sieges, have tournaments, etc etc etc.

The scene you've created is great! It really looks the raiding of the old tower - you seem to have almost every detail down well in this creation. The walls and the railings stood out to me the most for some reason - I know they aren't the feature of the MOC, but for some reason I just liked those the most.

On a side note, your MOC and the link has had me playing different versions of DOTC for the last two days! Argh... why is it much much much harder than I remember? I couldn't win at all!

Wow. I forgot about this game. Actually, I barely remember it. I like the moc, though. Good job and thanks for the memory.

Wow, great room, CAI. Something like this with a bit more furnishing would do very well in the CCCV Interiors Category (well, if there'll be that category this year). As always, great stuff.

Glad you like. I will try flooding the room with a huge fight and take a shot. Played the newer versions as well as the old again, does seem more difficult but I suspect my patience isn't there any longer.

The opening theme music is unforgettable. I've been trying to arrange it for classical guitar, got some of it so far. Heres another scene, the tax thieves.

I love the lighting on the second picture. Do you have a referance picture for it as well?

You captured it perfectly - beautiful job. Some fancy camera work too, which we could all learn from. Lee.
