If I had a chance, I'll buy a couple dozen of these army builder set thing-ies. Just look at it. It has a sweet old school helmet, a nice shield, an axe and a printed torso (alot better then a blank torso).

For Johnny Thunder's head, I don't have the exact one but when altered, seems pretty decent. If you don't like Johnny's head, then swap it for a head that you prefer. No big deal.

Laters...

Oh man, my dreams are coming true. I hate all the jelly bean knights, and bought all the KK2 sets just because of the included Shadow Knights. I stockpiled 8879/8800 just for Vladek and this awesome army and now a opportunity to amass a huge faction. Some day the Shadow Knights just might overtake my Black Knights as rulers of the land. Sweet! I can't wait. I haven't been this excited about LEGO since about 1989 when i got 6086 and 3 castle value packs at the same time from my parents. I love it!
Why do you need all those minifigs? You'll poke your eye out!

I completely agree with you, before the new KK2 sets were announced i was quite upset that so few shadow knights were included in the sets. Now that we have these poly bags hopefully coming to the U.S. and Canada theres a real good chance that shadow knights will be taking over as the dominant evil force in my collection as well. Untill then I can only sit patiently scheming schems and planning plans of all that I will be building for my dark horde of shadow knights.
well I would at least like to think that I'm evil...

You mean the shadow knights are evil?!? But...wouldn't that make the Jellybean Knights good?

Shudder - the horror!

No, they're both evil.

LOL! That's too funny... actually, the Shadow Knights may be evil, but they certainly are the one good thing to come from KK2. 8)

EDIT
Oh sorry, I didnt notice Aviah's statement, only the quote.

I would mass that set if I saw it in the stores. Im a huge collector of scorpion troops.

The Shadow Knights are not evil...they are knights of Morcia that have been transformed by Vladek...he also controls them...they have no control over their actions...they just do what Vladek says...no minds of their own...

This set is hardly an army builder...the standard head and helm are not included...

Not by your definition of army, maybe. However, for the enormous bulk of my LEGO-building career, I have definied army, in this context, as "military force of the same faction". Therefore, my Crusader army included crossbowmen with scalemail torsos and black bullet helms, spearsmen with lion-emblem torsos and grey noseguard helms, and knights with grey euro armour, and not-matching helms.

By my definition, this is a great army builder set, if you want a scorpion/Shadow Knight army.

I suppose I can see where Sir Vincent is coming from, but I'd have to agree with Formendacil on this one... I'm kind of looking forward to this one coming out ~ minor variety tweeks in a faction just give more room for creativity.

Ive allready bulked up Vladek Attack Towers for both the use of Shadow Knights and Vladeks, that is the heavy elite troops of Vladek (who has a much cooler set of clothes and a vampire cloak). Carrying Vladeks helm is to show power in the army.

Heres some examples of Vladek's troops. This is long after his defeat when his fortress was stormed by evil jellybeans, so expect new types of warriors ready to serve him and his master, The Sorceror!

Shadowkra Phalanx, the most feared infantry as it is almost impossible to charge them;

And a poor Black Falcon turned into a Shadow Knight(aka the Hordesman):

Also my new avatar...^^

Making him not looking like Vladek nor a Shadow Knight adds possibilities- A Shadok Knight Captain? Could be a mercenary on the looks of his face (he doesnt look reliable) and the things on him are simply a mercenary helm, an axe and a shield and armor given to him by Vladek. Though as said, it is meant to look like a younger Vladek (Vladek is just as old as Mathias). Actually, what defines an "army builder" is the large amount of minifigs- or just minifig(s). The Black Knight castle which I was fortunate to own, can be called an army builder due to the great number of minifigs, though its a little expensive if your just after the minifigs :P

Lego needs to make more sets like this, fast easy way to get lots of soldiers. I am thinking they need to do this for star wars, jsut with lots of battle droids, stormys, clones, wookiees etc.
