Gathering of the Clouds

Another scene from the Hobbit, showing the lakemen gathering for war against the goblins/wargs/dwarves. The trebuchet is inspired from the Warwolf trebuchet created by King Edward in the Scottish rebellion.

Mantlet

Mantlet is a movable shield for archer and crossbowman. Cheap logistic, I think that factions are able to deploy a lot, for approaching walls of castles.

Steer Powered Ram

A beast powered battering ram that uses rear positioned steers to get the ram close to the gate. Then the men take over to operate the ram. The weapon is articulated in the back for those tight twisty approaches. There is plenty of positionable overhead cover to protect the steers, driver and the ram operators/crew.

The Nemesis Ram

The village was nearly entirely slaughtered at Hastings. Ofdan and Evja fled, and Edgar, Sven, Hrafn and Garulf fought their way to the shield wall.

Filled with vengeance, the few survivors resisted, besieging Norman forts and raiding Norman caravans.

They fought to the bitter end.

Well I've got news for you!The Swordwroughtian Siege Ladder is a slightly safer option, and is 60% guaranteed to get your men over the walls with few casualties!

War Altar

War altars were used in battle as a means to conduct religious ceremonies on the battlefield, and also as a rallying point for the troops. They typically were surrounded by an elite guard and trumpeters whose blasts encouraged the troops to fight. The wagon usually contained an altar, and most often carried a sacred relic.
