Ben E. 28 II 04

Join the weekly Classic Castle set review discussion. Please post your opinions on the set play ability, piece selection, design, etc. Which sets stand up to our catapult of critique and which ones crumble in shame!

This week’s set is 6062 Battering Ram.

Battering Ram was released in 1987. Two soldiers and one archer guard the Black Falcon tower and wall which can connect to 6074 Black Falcon’s Fortress. Two lion soldiers and one lion archer use the ram to attack the door in the wall.

B is for Battering Ram
Anthony 27 II 04

James Brink has released his second installment of his 'Alphabet Castle Project.' This time around it's a battering ram, carried into battle by the crowd favorite, the Black Falcons. Will the Crusaders defeat the attacking Falcons? Will the Falcons break down the Cursaders' defenses? Who cares, we're just interested in the MOC!

BrickFest PDX Castle Report
Lenny 19 II 04

BrickFest PDX was an amazing experience for me. Something I am not long going to forget, and that I eagerly look forward to the next! I want to see Castle arise for BrickFest DC - to realize its place as the greatest theme there is! Long Live Castle!

We aren't through. It's 1992!
Ben E. 15 II 04

1992 was another great year for castle. A new faction, the Wolfpack, was introduced. Several classic sets including Sea Serpent, Wolpack Renegades, and Black Knight's Castle appeared in this year.

This week’s set is 383/6083 Knight's Tournament.

Knight’s Tournament, released in 1979, was the first of many Castle tournament sets. This set has a pavilion with a lord and lady watching a joust between two knights. Two soldiers also look on. A variety of rare accessories including old helmets, visors, flags, and a cypress tree are included.

Brickfest PDX this weekend. In other news, thousands of airport security guards baffled over little plastic bricks showing up in the x-ray machines.

Classic-Castle's own Lenny Hoffman, along with many other AFOLs are heading off to Portland, Oregon this weekend for Brickfest PDX! This is a meeting for all LEGO themes, but of course the only one that matters is Castle!

To top it all off, Lenny is carrying with him a precious cargo of MOCs made by other people unable to attend, all in the hopes that this will be the biggest 3Cs display yet!

So if you're in the area, stop on by and have some fun! For those of you too poor to go this time, don't worry, there's a Brickfest (or Brickfest scale) AFOL meeting twice a year, every year!

And keep an eye out for a PDX report sometime next week!

Congratulations to all of the winners in the Colossal Castle Contest I! Your creations show the finest that Classic Castle has to offer. Thank you to everyone who entered the contest. We were pleasantly suprised at the large quantity and very high quality of entries.

The scores were very close so we have provided an Honorable Mention for the top five entries in each category that did not win. Please contact Lenny Hoffman or myself if you have won a category so we can ship out the prizes!

Welcome to the Picture Captioning Page!
The CC Team 5 II 04

Welcome to the Classic-Castle.com Picture Captioning Page. What is picture captioning? Simple! Picture Captioning is when you supply a description, account or dialogue to what is happening in the picture.

Every two weeks or so the CC team or the Castle Community at large will supply a picture for the Picture Captioning. Then the community will be able to write what they think is happening or being said in the picture/scene.
