Bruce N. H. 22 VIII 05

Christian Treczoks (new user "treczoks" in our forum) has spent the last three years building and expanding this creation, adding new building and expanding the grounds. At this ultimate stage it's reached up to 60,000 bricks and 50 kilograms, covering an area of 144x192 studs. Various stages have been displayed at such German AFOL gatherings as 1000SteineLand and Frechen. Now it has come time to say good-bye to this layout, as Christian has exciting plans for a future project. Be sure to check out all the pictures and read more about it while there's still time.

Christian's creations can all be found in his MyImages gallery or his Brickshelf gallery. In addition to recently joining our forum, he is also a member of 1000Steine.de and Lugnet.

Classic-Castle meets with Jørgen Vig, CEO of LEGO!
Lenny and Ben E. 18 VIII 05

At BrickFest 2005, Admins of Classic-Castle were given a chance to have a one-on-one meeting with Jørgen Vig, CEO and President of LEGO. Ben, Lenny, and Troy were able to attend (Tony and Kevin had faulty time information), and give Jorgen an idea of what it is that we do, what sets we'd like, and how LEGO can help us.

Read more here and check out the partial transcript.

The Legends Poll
Ben E. 18 VIII 05

Some day LEGO will have to make another Castle Legend. I am curious to see what set is the best of the best in your minds. I have put together a list of landmark sets from 1984-1990. Choose your favorite and tell us why. You may also rank the sets in order of favorite to least favorite.

BrickFest 2005 Rocked!
Ben E. 17 VIII 05

Where do you go to meet castle fans from around the globe, buy LEGO on sale, hear the lastest product news, shoot catapults at people, watch flying dragons chase spacemen, see a castle trailer park, play BrickQuest, have Kjeld or Jørgen Vig ask questions about your creation, see little kids (and adults) point, jump, and smile because of what you have built?

BrickFest! If you have questions about what happened at fest or just want to share your story, please post. Check out the BrickQuest thread, Magnus' wrapup, the castle room pictures, and one fantastic photo for Nathan.

In addition to being an admin here at C-C, Anthony is a member of other LEGO forums such as Lugnet. Off-line he's a member of TexLUG. Anthony's creations can be found on his website, The Kingdom of Ikros, or in his Brickshelf gallery.

BrickFest MOC Card deadline is today!
Ben E. 1 VIII 05

Pre-registration is over and fest is only 11 days away. Hurry over and fill out your moc cards if you are attending. They will be sent to the printers tomorrow. If you do not have a moc card, there is no guarantee that we will have room to display your creation. Discuss the deadline here.

Magnus, castle room coordinator, has also asked us to pick flag colors for our mocs. This allows everyone to look at a CCC building and tell who built it. Read more in this thread.
